A new generation of Poco F series is upon us, with the debut of the Poco F4 GT model. It returns to using a flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while increasing the charging speed.

The powerful chipset is held back by LiquidCool 3.0 technology, which consists of two vapor chambers for cooling. For comparison, the Poco F3 used version 1.0 of this technology. Furthermore, the chambers are 170% larger than those inside the F3 GT.

All that power wants to express itself and the Adreno 730 GPU (50% faster than the previous generation) will do just that on the 6.67-inch AMOLED flat display. It is a 10-bit (1 billion colors) panel with 120Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming. Display quality has been vetted by DisplayMate, which awarded it an A + rating after setting or matching 15 display performance records.

The display has a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, compared to the F3’s 360Hz and corresponding to the F3 GT. Like the previous GT model, this one has a keen interest in gaming, so it provides additional controls in the form of buttons on the shoulders. They have been tested in over 100 popular games, but can also act as shortcuts for normal use (e.g. starting the camera).
The Poco F4 GT is the fastest charging Poco ever made with the 120W HyperCharge system. The phone’s 4,700mAh battery can be filled to 100% in 17 minutes when in a hurry. There is another mode that allows charging while playing: it generates less heat, but is still fast enough with a 0-100% time of 27 minutes. And here’s a nice thing, Poco includes an angled USB-C cable, which is more convenient to use when holding the phone horizontally.

The F4 GT is equipped with two Sony image sensors. The one on the back is an IMX686, a 64 MP 1 / 1.73 “sensor (0.8 µm native pixels, 1.6 µm with binning) and sits behind an f / 1.9 aperture. Here too is an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera. (120 °, f / 2.2) and a 2MP macro camera, plus there is a flicker sensor.

The second Sony sensor is the 20MP IMX596 inside the perforated selfie camera. Speaking of which, the back sports an RGB backlight, which is used for notifications, the battery charge indicator, and (of course) a colorful touch while gaming.
