The result was a great game that made a few mistakes.  But the franchise has been on an upward trajectory ever since.  Subsequent releases of DLC and a sequel ensured that the stealth series was here to stay.<\/p>\n<p>Hitman 3 is the latest act in this trilogy and obviously has a lot to live up to.  The question is whether the new game is able to keep the same addicting gameplay without getting stale.  For the most part, the third installment is a monumental success.<\/p><div id=\"forum-2130198978\" class=\"forum-content-2 forum-entity-placement\">\t\t<div class=\"ad-wrapper\" style=\"width:100%;min-height:250px;text-align:center\">\r\n\t\t\t<!-- In Article Blog -->\r\n\t\t\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n\t\t\t\t style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3476569516614521\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-slot=\"9829044906\"><\/ins>\r\n\t\t\t<script>\r\n\t\t\t\t (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n\t\t\t<\/script>\r\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n<h2>History<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Hitman-3-review.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35717\"  ><\/figure>\n<p>When Hitman 2 ended, Agent 47 had to figure out exactly what The Constant and Providence were.  The sequel follows with the protagonist hunting them down, putting an end to their plans once and for all.  In previous titles, the story felt like an addition.  More of a way to set the scene for the action rather than the main attraction.  This is certainly still true with Hitman 3. <\/p>\n<p>However, it now appears that IO Interactive has placed more emphasis on narrative this time around.  The overall plot takes more of a center stage.  There are more footage and things definitely tie together better than ever.  There are also many interesting little stories in the individual levels.  Characters will discuss strange plans and events, while some levels have very intriguing storylines.  Hitman 3 won&#8217;t win any awards for its story yet, but it&#8217;s a lot better than what fans expect.<\/p><div id=\"forum-1559428984\" class=\"forum-content forum-entity-placement\">\t\t<div class=\"ad-wrapper\" style=\"width:100%;min-height:250px;text-align:center\">\r\n\t\t\t<!-- In Article Blog -->\r\n\t\t\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n\t\t\t\t style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3476569516614521\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-slot=\"9829044906\"><\/ins>\r\n\t\t\t<script>\r\n\t\t\t\t (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n\t\t\t<\/script>\r\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n<p>However, to come to a satisfactory conclusion to the story, sacrifices had to be made.  The final level of the game is completely linear.  It looks out of place with the open nature of the rest of the series.  IO Interactive&#8217;s Hitman reboot is not suitable for this type of closed gameplay.  However, it might be the only way the developer could think of to end the storyline with a clear conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Giving players the ability to do exactly what they want would likely make an effective conclusion impossible.  The narrative comes together in a conclusion that works well and resolves outstanding issues. Developers clearly know they have a product that works and they don&#8217;t want to spoil it.  In that sense, this latest game is more of an evolution than a revolution.  The gameplay is almost exactly what fans would expect.  This allows players to quickly go back without having to worry about learning new mechanics and features.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not to say there aren&#8217;t one or two additions.  Most notable is the camera, which can be used to scan objects or hack systems.  It&#8217;s a small optional feature that adds even more possibilities for gamers.  Hitman 3 also has permanent shortcuts &#8211; secret areas and locations unlocked for future races.<\/p>\n<p><center class=\"native_ad\"><\/p>\n<p>\t<!-- Composite Start --><\/p>\n<p>\t<!-- Composite End --><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>The focus of the game, however, is undoubtedly the level design.  In order for this rebooted Hitman series to work well, it needs great settings to explore.  The whole appeal of the franchise comes from being able to take out targets in a wide variety of ways.  Fortunately, Hitman 3 lives up to this exceptionally well.  There is a sense that the levels in this new game have been made grander and more elaborate.  Whether it&#8217;s Dubai&#8217;s sprawling skyscraper or the British country manor, the levels are all for you to explore. <\/p>\n<p>Each level has even been expanded with things like Mission Stories.  These are like miniature levels that require players to do certain things.  Reaching them all in one run is virtually impossible, forcing users to walk through them multiple times.  Hitman 3 also offers players the chance to let their imagination run wild.  The interesting increase in over-the-top killing works really well and never feels too extravagant or silly.  Still, it&#8217;s the slightly cartoon or slapstick nature of the game that makes it so fun to play.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Presentation<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1649301972_158_Hitman-3-review.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35718\"  ><\/figure>\n<p>Hitman 3 looks absolutely stunning when played on Xbox Series X. There is a marked improvement over previous rumors.  However, it is unclear whether this is due to the updated hardware or just the natural evolution of the graphics.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, Hitman 3 is one of the coolest stealth titles anyone has ever played.  The levels, which are all incredibly different in terms of appearance and setting, are fantastic.  Some scenes, such as the Dubai skyscraper, are likely to take fans&#8217; breath away at first sight.<\/p>\n<p>Add in some well-crafted cutscenes, a great soundtrack to accompany the music, and the best dubbing in the series to date, and this is a superb looking and sounding experience.<\/p>\n<h2>Final verdict<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1649301972_63_Hitman-3-review.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35716\"  ><\/figure>\n<p>Hitman 3 is arguably the best entry in the Hitman series to date.  While it doesn&#8217;t do anything as spectacular as its predecessors, it has perfected the gameplay to perfection.  The levels are all well designed and each one feels alive and full of interesting and complex characters.<\/p>\n<p>As a final farewell to Agent 47, at least for the foreseeable future, it is effective and memorable.
