Last week, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told some of Apple iPhone 14 panel and RAM suppliers encountered quality issues<\/a>, but this is expected to have limited impact on mass production as the Cupertino-based tech giant has diversified its iPhone 14 series suppliers to avoid launch delays due to component shortages. However, Kuo now reports that another Apple supplier, Genius, is facing quality issues, this time related to the rear lenses of the iPhone 14.<\/p>\n

Kuo says that one of Genius’ iPhone 14 rear lenses likely suffered from coating quality issues, which resulted in Apple transferring around 10 million lens orders to Largan to avoid delays in shipping the iPhone 14 since the Taiwanese company is able to bridge the supply gap.<\/p>\n

The analyst says that Genius should be able to address the problem of cracks in the coating within two months, and if not, Largan will receive more orders from Apple for the lenses.<\/p>\n

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 series in September, which is said to consist of four models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. There will be no Mini version. If Apple does not face supply issues affecting mass production, the iPhone 14 line will go on sale as planned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
