Battery life was decent during the typical use scenario test, with very low discharge currents during the day and night (only 0.67% lost on average per night).  In calibrated mode the device performed well, with an autonomy always above average, except for calls, where it seemed to struggle.<br \/>Outdoor performance was poor, with below-average runtimes in all use cases.<br \/>The 80W charger, on the other hand, provided excellent charging performance, filling the 4500 mAh battery in just 33 minutes and 25 seconds.  Users who give the Oppo Reno8 5G a 5-minute quick charge can expect to get an average of 7 hours and 43 minutes of additional battery life.<br \/>In addition to being fast, the charging was also efficient, while the efficiency of the power supply was average.  However, the residual consumption of the charger when the device was fully charged and still connected to the charger was above average, which happens regularly with powerful power adapters like this one.<br \/>In general, all discharge currents were low, which means that the device was well optimized.  However, during the call, the discharge current was above average.<br \/>Compared to devices in the same price range ($ 400 to $ 599), the Oppo Reno8 5&#8217;s overall score is excellent.
