In the <i>Android Developer Blog<\/i>Google confirms that Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the first Android phones to exclusively support 64-bit apps.<\/p>\n<p>Google explains that there are some benefits to abandoning support for 32-bit apps.  Not only does it reduce RAM usage, it also improves performance and security.  Google predicts that devices without 32-bit app support will become more and more common over time. It also claims that modern CPUs can deliver up to 25% faster performance when 32-bit support is dropped.
