The term populism instinctively brings to mind the shouts and slogans broken up, like Matteo Salvini, of the descamisados, of the marginalized, of the excluded, in short: of the vociferous plebs. But this is not the case and today more than ever it is essential to combine condemnation or criticism with the analysis of concrete data. Well, actually badly, if we look at (Ipsos survey) the social composition of this vote, a dissonant element emerges from the indistinct and vociferous image of the populist mob: an impressive 59% of the workers chose Marine Le Pen (36%) o Jean Luc M\u00e9lenchon (23%). Only 18% of the workers chose an Emmanuel Macron who also swallowed up a large part of the socialist electorate. Net majority, but narrower than 51% for bipopulism among employees. Again, a very clear majority of 59% for bipopulism among those who earn less than 1,250 euros a month, a little more narrow, 51% among those who earn between 1,250 and 2,000 euros a month.<\/p>
