It doesn&#8217;t work the same way as games like Fortnite or Apex Legends, although it does borrow a lot of elements from it.<\/p>\n<p>Dying Light: Bad Blood sets itself apart from other battle royale with unique game mechanics and many distinctive features.  Perhaps this is not surprising, since it is based on a well-received single player experience rather than a brand new property. It features just 12 players racing against each other to escape the level in a helicopter that only has room for one.  Consequently, there are many differences to distinguish this game from other similar titles on the market.<\/p>\n<p>First, there&#8217;s no shrinking circle or gradually smaller play area in which to travel.  The world of Dying Light: Bad Blood remains the same throughout the game and you are free to explore as you see fit.  Additionally, there is a noticeable lack of ranged weapons. To do this, it is necessary to collect blood samples that are found throughout the level.  Collect enough and reach level five, allowing you to leave the island forever.<\/p>\n<p>Like the other games in this franchise, Dying Light: Bad Blood is often a claustrophobic experience where you constantly fight at close range and have to use parkour-style skills to get around. Matches aren&#8217;t just about battling other human players.  You also have to contend with the rather large horde of zombies scattered around the map.  These undead CPUs can be found in the highest concentration around hives, which are the very places where blood samples are found.<\/p>\n<p><center class=\"native_ad\"><\/p>\n<p>\t<!-- Composite Start --><\/p>\n<p>\t<!-- Composite End --><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>The end result is that you constantly come into contact with zombies and other players.  The combination of PvP and PvE creates some interesting game scenarios.  You can easily hide in an ambush while an opponent is busy fighting for a blood sample.  So you can take them out once they&#8217;ve wiped out most of the enemies, making your job a lot easier.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, a lot of CPU means there are very few pauses in the action.  Something always happens and no area is completely safe.  Someone or something could attack you at any moment.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Suspense<\/h2>\n<p>Dying Light: Bad Blood also ensures that you connect with other humans without the need for a shrunken circle.  By having a goal that everyone has to achieve, the game forces you to regularly search for conflicts.  <\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, you constantly feel nervous while playing Dying Light: Bad Blood.  This is a unique sensation among battle royale games that often go from intense action to slower moments of gathering resources.<\/p>\n<p>A culmination of this feeling are the last moments when you have to run towards the helicopter.  Not only the person who collects enough blood can board the plane.  Anyone is free to ask for a ride.  It becomes a race to reach the landing spot and defend it until the helicopter arrives.  Ambushes are very likely here and it generally becomes the most tense moment of any match.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1650067024_914_Dying-Light-Bad-Blood-Review.jpg\" alt=\"Dying Light: Bad Blood Review |  Gammick\" class=\"wp-image-1609\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Final verdict<\/h2>\n<p>Having been built on the foundation of an already successful game, Dying Light: Bad Blood has something of an edge over other battle royale games.  Performance is not a problem as there are very few technical problems thanks to the engine already tested in the first title.  If anything, this new game looks even better.  A facelift has improved the lightning and made the color palette more vibrant so that the images look much more colorful.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Dying Light: Bad Blood is an excellent new take on the battle royale genre.  Everything has been implemented well and the overall execution is very good, far better than many other games of this type.  The move to a smaller, but denser map, and the merging of PvP and PvE add a lot of drama to the process.
