The phone is the successor to the 2021 first generation Moto G Play.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Motorola-announces-Moto-G-Play-2023-in-the-US.jpg\" alt=\"Motorola announces Moto G Play (2023) in the US\"><\/p>\n<p>The second generation Moto G Play offers a 6.5-inch IPS TFT LCD with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600px) and a 90Hz refresh rate.  The back houses a 16MP main camera.  Motorola&#8217;s official spec sheet mentions an f\/1.22 aperture for the main sensor, although that would be a notable move for a midranger and we&#8217;re more inclined to believe the actual value is f\/2.2 instead. The phone boots Android 12 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.
