For breakfast, afternoon snack or midnight snack, cr\u00eapes are always the ideal solution, delicious and very fast!  In this recipe we offer you <strong>a version with simple Nutella<\/strong> and chopped pistachios, but you can fill them with many other creams and also prepare savory versions. In a glass bowl, mix the milk and eggs until well blended. <\/p>\n<picture class=\"image-step\">\n<noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Crepes-with-Nutella-and-chopped-pistachios-for-a-delicious-snack.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Crepes-with-Nutella-and-chopped-pistachios-for-a-delicious-snack.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/picture><\/div>\n<div class=\"step step-2\"><span class=\"stepcount\">2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pour the melted butter into the milk and egg mixture.  Sift the flour and add it a little at a time to the liquids, stirring with a whisk, so as to mix it slowly and not risk the formation of lumps. <\/p>\n<picture class=\"image-step\">\n<noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1671126020_847_Crepes-with-Nutella-and-chopped-pistachios-for-a-delicious-snack.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1671126020_847_Crepes-with-Nutella-and-chopped-pistachios-for-a-delicious-snack.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/picture><\/div>\n<div class=\"step step-3\"><span class=\"stepcount\">3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step step-4\"><span class=\"stepcount\">4<\/span><\/p>\n<p>After the standing time, place a cr\u00eape pan on the heat over low heat with a small piece of butter and wait for it to melt.  In the meantime, give the dough a vigorous stir. When it comes off completely, turn it over and cook another minute on the other side.  Consider that when the pan is hotter, cooking times will also be reduced. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and add more chopped pistachios to taste. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h1>Advice and tips<\/h1>\n<p>Freshly cooked cr\u00eapes can be<strong> keep in the fridge for 2 days<\/strong>covered with transparent film.  Alternatively, you can also freeze them by stacking the cr\u00eapes alternating them with sheets of parchment paper, in order to defrost the number you want when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The cr\u00eape dough can be stored in the refrigerator, closed<strong> in an airtight container<\/strong>for about 12 hours.<\/p>\n<p>You can use any type of milk you prefer: whole, fresh, semi-skimmed, skimmed, highly digestible, lactose-free.  You can use too <strong>vegetable milk such as almond<\/strong>oats and hazelnuts, particularly recommended to obtain a more particular flavour.<\/p>\n<p>You can add 1 tablespoon of rum, marsala or cognac to the dough, so as to make your cr\u00eapes even tastier!<\/p>\n<p>You can vary as you like <strong>the filling of the crepes<\/strong>s.  Here are some tasty variations: sweet pistachio and icing sugar cream, peanut butter and fresh fruit, custard with berries, white chocolate spreadable cream with raspberries.<\/p>\n<p>Since the basic recipe is sugar-free, you can also fill your cr\u00eapes with savory variations: gorgonzola and walnuts, broccoli and robiola, pesto, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes for summer cr\u00eapes.<\/p>\n<h1>History<\/h1>\n<p>The origin of cr\u00eapes is French, but many similar recipes or with some variations are widespread in many European countries.  It is said that the first cr\u00eapes were made at the behest of <strong>Pope Gelasius I <\/strong>who, in the fifth century, welcomed French pilgrims to Rome and ordered his cooks to make soft scones made with eggs, milk and flour.  The Pope&#8217;s guests, back home, spread the recipe in their region.  Over the centuries, even the basic recipe has undergone numerous changes: in the Middle Ages, for example, instead of milk <strong>white wine was used<\/strong>.
