With an intense and savory taste, they are suitable for the preparation of appetizers, such as fried artichokes or Roman artichokes, second courses (have you ever prepared sea bass with artichokes?) and as a condiment for first courses, as in the case of this very tasty <strong>pasta with artichokes and bacon!<\/strong> The flavor and crunchiness of bacon combine with the softness and slightly bitter taste of artichokes to give you a very easy, quick and delicious first course that everyone will really like.  In our version of the recipe <strong>we used short striped pasta<\/strong>: you can also choose to use egg pasta, such as fettuccine or pappardelle. Pour 2 liters of cold water and add the juice of half a lemon into a bowl.<br \/>\nClean the artichokes by removing the toughest leaves.  Cut the tip about 3 cm.<\/p>\n<picture class=\"image-step\">\n<noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Artichoke-and-bacon-pasta-a-simple-and-tasty-first-course.png\" alt=\"\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Artichoke-and-bacon-pasta-a-simple-and-tasty-first-course.png\" alt=\"\">\n<\/picture><\/div>\n<div class=\"step step-2\"><span class=\"stepcount\">2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Shorten the stem leaving 5-6 cm and clean it with a knife, removing the outer fibrous layer.<br \/>\nDivide the artichokes in half and remove the inner fuzz. Set aside a little cooking water, to add in case the pasta gets too dry.<br \/>\nAdd the bacon and mix.<\/p>\n<picture class=\"image-step\">\n<noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1672301035_784_Artichoke-and-bacon-pasta-a-simple-and-tasty-first-course.png\" alt=\"\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1672301035_784_Artichoke-and-bacon-pasta-a-simple-and-tasty-first-course.png\" alt=\"\">\n<\/picture><\/div>\n<div class=\"step step-11\"><span class=\"stepcount\">11<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Remove from the heat and add the chopped parsley.<br \/>\nServe immediately with grated Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h2>Advice and tips<\/h2>\n<p>It is preferable to consume pasta with artichokes and bacon immediately.  Freezing is not recommended.<\/p>\n<p>If you prefer, you can replace the bacon with bacon and add a sprinkling of bacon at the end <strong>pecorino romano and pepper<\/strong>.  You can also create a pecorino cream, combining the cheese, a ladle of pasta cooking water and pepper, so as to make your pasta even more creamy and tasty.<\/p>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t find fresh artichokes, you can use i <strong>frozen artichoke hearts<\/strong>.  However, we advise you to always prefer fresh and seasonal products.<\/p>\n<p>If you use already cooked artichokes, you can <strong>calculate about half the weight<\/strong> some raw artichokes.
