Place them on a cutting board and remove the leaves with a knife, then cut them into cubes, or in any case into rather small pieces. Buy organic, unprocessed lemons.<\/p>\n<p>The syrup for cakes with strawberries and alchermes is characterized by a particularly full-bodied consistency due to the presence of strawberries.
