Recently, Xiaomi also confirmed that it is working on solid-state battery technology and is making progress, but QuantumScape is perhaps the most promising manufacturer.  It is already working with selected car manufacturers and has provided its partners with prototypes to test with.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Report-Samsung-is-making-great-strides-towards-mass-production-of.jpg\" alt=\"Report: Samsung is making great strides towards the future of the solid-state battery\"><\/p>\n<p>Samsung has been working on a prototype oxide-based solid-state battery for over a decade and presumably made a breakthrough recently. Samsung SDI, on the other hand, will focus on developing a solid-state battery with sulfide electrolytes for the electric vehicle sector.<\/p>\n<p> Solid-state batteries improve energy density, allowing larger capacities to fit in the same volume, but they are also beneficial to a battery&#8217;s long-term life.
