It will be present in chipsets targeting Windows devices codenamed &#8220;Hamoa&#8221;.  Previously, we only knew of a 12-core design, but new information suggests Qualcomm will be coming out of the gate with a bigger roster.<\/p>\n<p>The following numbers have been seen in internal documents since <i>WinFuture<\/i>: SC8350, SC8350X, SC8370, SC8370XP, along with SC8380 and SC8380XP.  The latter two are the original 12-core variants and will feature eight high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores.<\/p><div id=\"forum-3271976328\" class=\"forum-content-2 forum-entity-placement\">\t\t<div class=\"ad-wrapper\" style=\"width:100%;min-height:250px;text-align:center\">\r\n\t\t\t<!-- In Article Blog -->\r\n\t\t\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n\t\t\t\t style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3476569516614521\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-slot=\"9829044906\"><\/ins>\r\n\t\t\t<script>\r\n\t\t\t\t (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n\t\t\t<\/script>\r\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n<p>The SC8350 and SC8370 will have four and six performance cores, respectively.  This will be filled with a fixed number of four efficiency cores.  Apparently Qualcomm will also match chips based on clock speed, so some of these may be &#8220;plus&#8221; versions with the same number of cores running at higher frequencies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Qualcomms-new-Oryon-based-chipsets-will-also-have-8-and-10-core.jpg\" alt=\"Qualcomm's new Oryon-based chipsets will also have 8- and 10-core variants, not just 12-core CPUs\"><\/p>\n<p>The two 12-core variants are expected to be marketed under the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 branding (again possibly with an edge). But the new Hamoa chips are expected to be unveiled in October, possibly during the same event that carries the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
