Yesterday Apple made the date of its next big presentation event official. It will announce the iPhone 15 series on September 12.<\/p>\n

Today Google revealed the date his<\/i> next big hardware event. He did it long before Apple, which makes us think that he wanted to “respond” to Apple’s announcement in this way. Anyway, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be made official on October 4th.<\/p>\n

Unlike Apple’s event, which will take place as usual on its Cupertino, California campus, Google has chosen New York City as its venue. Both events start at 10:00 local time.<\/p>\n

Google says it will “unveil the latest additions” to its portfolio of Pixel devices on October 4 at the aforementioned event. This means that the Pixel Watch 2 could also launch at the same time.<\/p>\n

Amusingly (or more likely intentionally to drum up hype), Google leaked its upcoming Pixel 8 Pro smartphone a few hours ago on its online store \u2013 you can see the image in question below.<\/p>\n

The Pixel 8 Pro was leaked very recently and is said to have a temperature sensor on the back, a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ LTPO OLED screen, the Tensor G3 chipset, 12GB RAM, 128\/256 GB of storage, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 64 MP ultrawide and 48 MP telephoto), an 11 MP selfie snapper and a 4,950mAh battery with support for 27W wired charging. Unsurprisingly, it will run Android 14 from day one.<\/p>\n

The Pixel 8 will have the same chipset and Android version, the same selfie camera, the same storage options and fingerprint sensor, a 6.17-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz touchscreen, a dual rear camera system (50 MP main, 12MP ultrawide) and a 4,485mAh battery with support for 24W wired and 12W wireless charging.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
