The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. However, the overall battery life experience has shown a lot of room for improvement.<\/p>\n<p>When used moderately, the battery life of the Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G lasted just under two and a half days, which is lower than average in our database.  The poor battery life could be attributed to the relatively high night-time discharge current, which caused the device to lose more than 3% of its power every night.  Furthermore, high consumption of social apps and games also drains the battery quickly. The device&#8217;s maximum charging power was limited to 18W, resulting in a charging time of 2 hours and 24 minutes.  Furthermore, due to the limited maximum charging power, the battery life recovered from a 5-minute quick charge was only around 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The adapter of the Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G demonstrated excellent residual efficiency, especially when the device was still connected to the charger.  However, the overall charging efficiency of 72.9% is relatively low and thus the device ranked in the bottom half among our tested devices.
