While they may seem like ordinary Bluetooth earbuds, this is far from the case.<\/p>\n<p>First, let&#8217;s take a look at the packaging.  Like other recent Sony devices, the packaging is entirely made of paper.  You get the earbuds, a short charging cable, and four sets of silicone tips in different sizes.<\/p><div id=\"forum-3027381767\" class=\"forum-content-2 forum-entity-placement\">\t\t<div class=\"ad-wrapper\" style=\"width:100%;min-height:250px;text-align:center\">\r\n\t\t\t<!-- In Article Blog -->\r\n\t\t\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n\t\t\t\t style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3476569516614521\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-slot=\"9829044906\"><\/ins>\r\n\t\t\t<script>\r\n\t\t\t\t (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n\t\t\t<\/script>\r\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"802\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Sony-INZONE-Buds-awaiting-review.jpg\" alt=\"Sony INZONE Buds awaiting review\"><\/p>\n<p>The INZONE Buds are gaming-focused earbuds that work primarily using a USB dongle that connects to your PC or PS5.  It runs on the 2.4GHz band and has a claimed latency of just 30ms.  The dongle can also be connected to tablets and smartphones with a USB-C port for audio.<\/p>\n<p>The INZONE Buds technically support Bluetooth but in a limited form.  There is only support for Bluetooth LE and the only codec available is LC3.  Even though the LC3 was supposed to be the successor to the SBC, only a few devices currently support it, meaning most people won&#8217;t be able to use these earbuds with Bluetooth.<\/p><div id=\"forum-3466516908\" class=\"forum-content forum-entity-placement\">\t\t<div class=\"ad-wrapper\" style=\"width:100%;min-height:250px;text-align:center\">\r\n\t\t\t<!-- In Article Blog -->\r\n\t\t\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n\t\t\t\t style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3476569516614521\"\r\n\t\t\t\t data-ad-slot=\"9829044906\"><\/ins>\r\n\t\t\t<script>\r\n\t\t\t\t (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n\t\t\t<\/script>\r\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"802\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.sbenny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/1714218486_539_Sony-INZONE-Buds-awaiting-review.jpg\" alt=\"Sony INZONE Buds awaiting review\"><\/p>\n<p>The INZONE Buds support ANC, which is not a common feature in gaming audio devices.  They also feature the same 8.4mm drivers as the WF-1000XM5 with Sony&#8217;s 360 Reality Audio feature.  Sony claims 11 hours of battery life with ANC when using the USB dongle and 18 hours when using Bluetooth.  This last figure is particularly incredible for a pair of TWS earbuds but, as previously mentioned, it only uses Bluetooth LE with LC3, so very few devices can actually use it.<\/p>\n<p> But that&#8217;s all for now.
