But be careful: these aromas will be put on the surface just before putting the Dacquoise in the oven and not inserted into the dough because they will release their oils during cooking, ruining it.<\/li>\n<li>Since it is also very good on its own, it is a great way to recover leftover egg whites from other preparations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>storage<\/h2>\n<p>The Dacquoise should be consumed as soon as it is made.  Alternatively, it can be stored in the refrigerator, inside an airtight container, <strong>for a maximum of 1 day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>History<\/h2>\n<p>The name derives from the city of Dax, in <strong>south of France<\/strong>place where she is believed to have been born.<\/p>\n<p>Often used as a base for multi-level desserts, Dacquoise is perfect to be alternated with layers of delicious chocolate or caramel creams and whipped cream.  The wetter consistency, in fact, allows the filling to blend better with the base, for a high quality result.
