Google has announced an intriguing new feature on its blog: toll prices while browsing. The feature will be available for nearly 2,000 toll roads and is expected to be available on Android and iOS devices.<\/p>\n

The estimated toll price for the destination will be collected “based on reliable information from the local toll authorities”, including specific details on whether or not the road has a toll, what day of the week it is and what time the toll will be crossed at.<\/p>\n

Google Maps will still allow users to mark “Avoid tolls” in settings and will also offer price changes based on payment method.<\/p>\n

The feature will first appear in India, Indonesia, Japan, and the United States, and more countries will follow soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
