Samsung’s next family of Galaxy Watch5 wearables will be more expensive than the Watch4 devices launched last year, at least at the time of release. That is, should a new rumor emerge on the matter. It comes from the usually reliable Roland Quandt (famous from OnLeaks), however, there is a higher probability of accuracy here than usual.<\/p>\n
We see. The Galaxy Watch5 40mm Bluetooth will retail for only \u20ac 300, while the LTE model will go for \u20ac 350. The Galaxy Watch5 44mm Bluetooth-only model will be priced at \u20ac 350, while its LTE-capable sibling will retail for \u20ac 400.<\/p>\n
Finally, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro will be available in one size: 45mm. In its Bluetooth-only iteration, it will cost \u20ac 490, while if you add LTE you will have to pay \u20ac 540. The Pro will be available in black and titanium. The 40mm Watch5 will be offered in rose gold, gray and silver, while the 44mm Watch5 color versions are blue, gray and silver.<\/p>\n
For comparison, note that the price of the 40mm Galaxy Watch4 was \u20ac 270 with Bluetooth only and \u20ac 320 with LTE, so here we are looking at a price increase of \u20ac 30. The 44mm Galaxy Watch4 costs \u20ac 300 MSRP only with Bluetooth and \u20ac 350 with LTE, so this will experience a \u20ac 50 price increase.<\/p>\n The 46mm Galaxy Watch4 Classic, which will be replaced by the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, can be purchased for \u20ac 400 (Bluetooth) or \u20ac 450 (LTE). This means that the upcoming model will cost \u20ac 90 more than its predecessor.<\/p>\n These price increases are quite something if you calculate them in percentage points and they definitely won’t make potential customers happy.
