Hello everyone, I'm new here and I immediately liked this club. I am a huge lover of detective stories, as an example - Agatha Christie, but now I accepted the idea that I began to like biographical books related to history, as an example Harriet Tubman: The Road to Freedom, if you don't know who this is, or want to know more, you can click here. I also love books on economics and management, no matter how boring it sounds, I hope I will find someone who is interested in the same :dogerime:

Hello there, Charlotte, Glad you decided to join us, I don't think that history books are by any means will lose to any fiction, most of then are actually even more impressive since it actually happened, I'm not a great fan of economics, but I do like to read about management and I must confess that I have learned a lot from those. I sincerely hope that you like this small corner of the internet. Welcome and see you around.

Hey everyone,
I'm kinda in a reading slump at the moment and was looking for books recommendations to help me get out of it, i usually read Fantasy, young adult, paranormal and mystery.
I don't read a lot of non-fiction as that is boring for me (i get enough of those through my textbooks lol 🤣).
So any recommendations will be really nice, Thanks in advance ❤

Helloooo!! Love to read and use a Kobo as my ebook reader. Working from home has allowed to catch up on my reading these days. I don't mind buying ebooks but some ebooks are only released on Kindle so then I go hunting for ePub versions. That's how I landed here.

I go through particular genre phases. Right now I'm ploughing through a thriller/murder series - the Agent Pendergast series (about 20 books). I love magical realism (eg. Alice Hoffman, Susanna Clark), horror (eg. Susan Hill, Shirley Jackson), travel (eg. Bill Bryson, Peter Mayle, Frances Mayes), literary fiction - old and new (eg. Edith Wharton, Audrey Niffenegger), books on books and reading, biographies .... depends on what strikes my fancy.

I'm an equal opportunity bookworm. I also believe you have to 'earn' the book. Something I read long ago - where if you can't get into a book, it may not be the book's fault. It may be that you're not in the right place/time/mindset whatever, to read it...yet! So put it away and go back to it some weeks or months later. You'll be surprised. I've had that happen quite a few times.

A really good book I'd recommend (one of my top 3!) - Perfume by Peter Suskind. In short, it's a book about a serial killer and perfume. And it's set in France in 1738 and it's unlike ANY murder fiction you've read before. I deliberately slowed down so as to drag out the pleasure of this good book. I hope you can find and enjoy it!
PS - the movie version was brilliantly done and so like the book too, especially that final scene.

Depends on the Book I guess...

Also the Time period,... don't want to end up in a medieval time, would probably catch plague or something...

And if your born a part of the peasant class... farming for the rest of your life and survival if you can

But if you mean like with a game system for all or being able to cultivate and all... yeah I guess that would be pretty cool... though it would be pretty harsh too...
Since the culture would be warlike,... strength over all

Deductive logic is considered the most efficient method of analyzing complex issues, as it helps come to a reasonable conclusion. Note that deduction relies on valid arguments only as you can see in deductive essay example
