Can anyone recommend witty or humorous books like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or A Series of Unfortunate Events?

Btw, how amazing are they, am I right? XD

Hello, I think you would like:
*Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams (There's also a good TV show by the same name) Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (Dirk Gently, #1)
*The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart (Witty, unconventional plot and the characters are akin to The Series of Unfortunate Events, especially Mr Benedict, who reminds me of Lemony Snicket's Uncle Monty) The Mysterious Benedict Society (The Mysterious Benedict Society, #1)
*Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl (Though this is a Children's fantasy novel but its pretty imaginative) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Charlie Bucket, #1)

If you're looking for some quick, easy reading with some fun humor, you might enjoy the Xanth novels by Piers Anthony. Every animal and plant is some sort of pun. Another fun one is Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins. It's hard to describe. A couple of books with what I consider "quiet humor" would be The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch and Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrel.

I really like Christopher Moore. If you try his books, my personal favorites are Lamb and Practical Demon Keeping.

Stumbled across a series of unfortunate events. Quite liked it, but it seems like my local bookstores have stopped selling it ;-;
