I read a moderate amount of mangas every year. And my favorites change pretty much every time. Currently, I consider "I sold my life for ten thousand yen per year/ Jumyou wo Kaitotte Moratta. Ichinen ni Tsuki, Ichimanen de." as my favorite one so far. It's pretty short but I swear it's a wonderful read.

I was thinking on putting the novel here, but since is only manga and anime I would recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Ohhhh
My list:
1. Blue Period - it's about a male student started to learn how to paint and finds out the stress becoming an artist. If you like to draw you would enjoy this.
2. Haikyuu - it's a good sport anime and isn't a yaoi bait. It's really good!
3. Castlevania - it's better to watch with the original english subs, it better than the Japanese one. Great story and characters.
4. Yoru Camp - very chill anime about camping.
5. Made In Abyss - Heavy drama and pain.
6. Super Cub - very chill anime about a girl bought a cub.
7. Smile on Runway - a male student enjoys making clothes and try to get in the fashion industry.
8. Acient Mangus Bride - Bone Daddy. ( Honestly it pretty good haha)
9. Death Parade - Best opening and heavy drama and pain.

That's all i can think off right now haha

My recommendation would have a lot of underrated anime such as:
- Inuyashiki ( a drama action packed anime)
- Charlotte ( one of the most satisfying ending in anime for me )
- Hinamatsuri ( one of the most hilarious anime for me )
- Flying Witch ( one of the most wholesome slice of life kind of anime )

I'm not the biggest anime person, but I highly, highly recommend Violet Evergarden if you haven't watched it already. The art style is amazing and every episode is incredibly moving.

Kinda hard to find these days but
it's a super mature and amazing piece of work
Sanctuary.

it basically is the story of 2 brothers who take diferent paths in life
one became a politician, while the other one became a Yakuza, all with one goal at the end.
Both having the power and city in their hands.

If you're interested in horror genre and don't mind a bit of gore then mangas by Junji Ito are great especially Uzumaki. It's a unique and new concept.
