  • Once upon a time, a long time ago… It is not.

    In the corner of a certain village where ayakashi and humans coexist, there is a shop that serves meals for ayakashi. The name of this eatery is “Ponpokorin”. In that store, both ayakashi and humans visit it seeking to have a delicious meal. The shop owner is a youko (a mythological fox spirit) taking on a human form.

    “Everybody can be happy if they can have a delicious meal.” That was the youko’s creed. The youko and its soon-to-be 7-year-old son continue to cook delicious meals to this very day.

    One day, as the hot summer ended and the harvest of autumn approached, a lone girl enters the youko’s store.

    From that moment onwards, the story begins.

    The beginning of a heart-warming story involving ayakashi, humans and delicious meals, starts here.

READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY OR THE GAME WON'T WORK AT ALL.

1st, download the two archives named ayakashi_2.7z.001 and ayakashi_2.7z.002.

2nd, open the file named ayakashi_2.7z.001 with a .zip file manager of your choice and, once again, double-click the file inside named ayakashi.zip.

3rd. Extract the folder inside to a location of your choice.

4th. Open the folder named Locale Emulator and click the LEInstaller.exe file to install the program. Once complete, click the LEGUI.exe file to configure the program.

5th. Next, you will mount the AGDISC1.iso file with a program of your choice. In this case, I'm using Daemon Tools Lite. Once mounted, you will execute the setup file by emulating it to the Japanese locale using the emulator. If you failed to install the game this way, the game will not work at all.

6th. Once installed, you will return to the original folder and open the English translation folder, copy the files inside and drop them in the main Ayakashi Gohan folder.

7th. Execute the ayakashigohan.exe file with the Japanese emulator and play. You can configure any options in the menu, but I won't since I don't speak Japanese.

8th. Please be aware the translation doesn't translate the MENUS AND TITLES. Please access the site below and read the instructions provided by the English translator.

Since the you needed to unzip the 1st file, how about the 2nd one? I'm a little confuse since the instruction never mentioned what to do with it...

You just need to unzip the .001 file. Technically, the .001 and .002 are the same file, but I had to divide them due to the size.

Hello, the game works thank you so much however when i copy pasted the english patch over the one in the disc, the english translation does not show up when I start the game? any advice?

Hey there. Have you read the WordPress link in the post? There is a detailed installation guide there. You need to follow the instructions step-by-step, or the translation won't work. Titles and the menu won't be translated as well, only the game itself.
