i have apk tool
old modded version thats outdated
newest version fresh from playstore
background in java C# and python 3

i want to update the mod
possibly make it myself
how would i go about editing the apk
i have extracted it

It basically depends what can kind of game it is apk tool can help you mod mostly games which are text based or java games

While for modding unity games you can use net reflector, dnspy or unity editor

Then the last one is whether the game uses .lib files in its resource or asset folder then you will have to use IDA hacking which by far the most difficult one
