The Google Pixel 8 Pro was leaked today in CAD-based renders and apparently retains the same design language as its predecessor. It’s quite early for these renders as the phone is only expected to be released in October, but Google may bring it forward on May 10 during the I/O developer conference, just like it did with the Pixel 7 series last year.
The Pixel 8 Pro has more rounded corners than last year’s Pixel 7 Pro, with an overall less boxy look. Even the camera island is different, even if it’s still instantly recognizable as belonging to a Pixel. This time around, it seems Google has chosen to house all three cameras in the same oval “aperture” in the metal. There’s also a new sensor under the flash, although it’s currently unclear what that could be.
The Pixel 8 Pro measures 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7mm and is approximately 12mm thick at the camera bump. The display is said to be around 6.52 inches smaller than that of the Pixel 7 Pro, but apparently this adjustment has to do with creating more rounded corners.
