  The House of the Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels is a rail-shooting mobile game developed and released by Sega for Android and iOS devices in April 25, 2013. It is a spin-off to the 2009 game The House of the Dead: Overkill: Extended Cut.
  
  The game was initially priced at $4.99 before becoming free later.[1][2] It was eventually removed from app stores; this occurred during a time in which Sega removed Android and iOS games that no longer met their "standards".[3]
  
  The game features both Story and Survival modes. Weapons can be unlocked with Ka$h, the currency used in-game.[2] A character is chosen at the start of each level, along with a choice of weapons. Levels are unlocked and weapons can be upgraded as the player progresses forward. The crosshair is aimed used a virtual d-pad.[4]
  
  Like a standard House of the Dead game, a boss is fought at the end of each level.
