The incoming reports on the specs of the new Pixel 7 series are painting a picture of slight upgrades over the current generation of Pixel 6, which is nearly a year old at this point. Yesterday’s report focused on the Pixel 7, now it’s time to take a closer look at the Pixel 7 Pro model.

The move to the Tensor G2 is expected, the new chip is expected to bring improvements to the GPU, NPU and modem. Based on unconfirmed information from Yogesh Brar, the Pro model will be available in 12 / 128GB and 12 / 256GB configurations. There are no words about a 12 / 512GB model like current phones – perhaps Google has eliminated it based on sales figures, or perhaps the rumored information is incomplete.

Either way, the Pro phone is expected to have a 50MP, ultra-wide 12MP, and 48MP telephoto main configuration like its predecessor, although the camera will use a new sensor, a Samsung GM1 that will step in to replace the Sony IMX586. .

The selfie camera will also undergo a slight change: the resolution will remain at 11 MP, although the new module is expected to have autofocus (using a new Samsung 3J1 sensor).
