As promised, Realme today launched the Realme C55, with Apple’s Dynamic Island-like Mini Capsule as one of its biggest highlights, making the C55 the first Realme smartphone to feature this feature. The Mini Capsule will display low battery warnings, phone charging status and data consumption. It will also show you your step count and walking distance for the day. However, data usage and step counts won’t be available immediately and will come later via an OTA update.
Also new to the C-series with the Realme C55 is 33W SuperVOOC charging. It’s an upgrade from the C35’s 18W charging and makes the C55 the fastest-charging C-series smartphone. We are not likely to see any Realme C-series smartphones charging slower than 33W this year as the company recently announced that most Realme smartphones in 2023 will support 33W or faster charging.
That said, the Realme C55 has the Helio G88 SoC at the helm with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and runs the Android 13-based Realme 4.0 UI. memory expansion up to 1TB.
The Realme C55 is built around a 6.72″ FullHD+ 90Hz screen with a peak brightness of 680 nits.
