Device Name: Samsung s7
Android Version: 6.0.1
Are You Rooted: NO
Running On Stock or Custom: STOCK
Model number: SM-G930FD
Baseband version: G930FXXU1BPJJ

Is there a way to root this device? So far as I've read, there isn't.

If there is, will it be worth it?

My only clear intentions for rooting are using root only apps like netkiller and lucky patcher and the like.

Thanks.

Lucky Patcher doesn't require Root to work, however if I was you, I'd not root that device, not yet at least :)

Yeah, I've been hesitating to root my device. So when do you think would be a good time to root this device?
Lucky patcher doesnt need root for in game purchase of online games? But I thought it does, because freedom app need root too, right?

Absolutely not. Lucky Patcher DOES NOT require root permissions for in-app purchases (and no matters if online or offline, just the chance in online games is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very low)

I've also been patiently awaiting a solid rooting process for my Galaxy S7 Edge (Sprint, USA). I am in no rush, for as mentioned by @Sbenny earlier, root access not needed to make Lucky Patcher work its magic (nor Sbenny Patcher, lol!). I have even upgraded to the not-so-new Note 8, and the s7 Esge has faded to secondary device status.

Yet, even riding the pine, I still wish to gain root access for both of these devices. Primarily to rid them of the hefty bloatware that Samsung has indelibly chained to them. I wish to see what kind of improvements can be made to the devices' processing capabilities, and battery consumption, with the elimination of these unsolicited hindrances. Alas, I too am still looking and waiting...:emoji_hourglass_flowing_sand::emoji_calendar:😞😴

You (and I) will probably be waiting forever, the American S7 Edge bootloader is locked and there's very little to show Samsung has any interest in unlocking it (though they apparently did not lock the S9 bootloader). I was able to install a patched copy of the stock rom to get root but it slowed the phone WAY WAY WAY WAY down. Like stuttering video playing Angry Birds slow.

ED: And now I have an LG G7 ThinQ which also, of course, has a locked bootloader. Sigh. At least I have my Galaxy Tab A and Nexus 4 with custom roms :-D
