Name of the movie you are reviewing: The Family

The Family is a dramatized documentary about a cult-like Christian organization which advances their anti-democratic agenda in Washington and around the globe.

Review:
The Family is a drama documentary based on the book of the same name by Jeff Sharlet, a journalist and subsequent investigator who infiltrated the ranks of a secret organization, which influences politics in Washington and around the globe, under the guise of spreading the word of Jesus. A chilling documentary, it shows how this organization, through the use of the National Prayer Breakfast, an encounter attended by every president since Eisenhower in Washington, DC, has recruited allies for their cause and how these encounters are being used to spread their anti-democratic and anti-gay views around the world, along with serving as an ideal place for the infiltration of foreign agents. The careful cultivation of influence with politicians from both sides of the spectrum, along with giving legitimacy to authoritarians by meeting them, including Gaddafi, shows how unscrupulous The Family is; the use of brainwashing and gaslighting members who question too much is also worrying.

I recommend that people see this documentary, as it sheds light on how backroom deals are being made intending to undermine our freedoms and liberty. As with every doc, you should take things with a grain of salt and take your own conclusions, but regardless of how truthful it is, it shows how the misuse of religion is propping up discriminatory laws under the guise of morality and the elitism of politics. Also, the use of a sense of belonging to a community to guilt people into doing as they are commanded is another point to highlight.

Would you recommend this to other users? An eye-opening documentary for me.
