Motorola’s recently announced ThinkPhone is expected to arrive to business customers in the coming months, but now Roland Quandt is reporting that the phone will also be available to regular consumers in some countries. Quandt specifies that the 8/256GB trim will set shoppers back €999 ($1,080) and will be available later this month through electronics retailers though no specific stores or countries were mentioned.

The ThinkPhone concept has been around for years with fans of the ThinkPad laptop lineup patiently waiting to see it finally announced last week. The news that the device would be sold as a B2B exclusive probably came as a disappointment to loyal fans, but the new report should give hope. Lenovo/Motorola have yet to confirm these reports, so we should wait for their response first.
