The idea of the perfect screen size for a smartphone keeps changing, which is to say it keeps growing. In 2017 it was 5.2″, which grew to 6″ in 2019, then in 2020 it was between 5.9″ and 6.5″ (trending towards the lower end). Has this trend continued since then or have we finally hit a physical limit?
A report this week suggests that Samsung may scrap the Galaxy S24+. Starting with the Galaxy S10, the S series has offered small, medium and large options. However, unconfirmed information claims that the Galaxy S22+ was the least popular of the three and if the S23+ underperforms, then Samsung may have the proof it needs to ditch it.
The Galaxy S22 has a 6.1″ screen, the S22+ a 6.6″ screen and the S22 Ultra a 6.8″ screen. The S23 series should stay that size – will you miss the edge if it disappears?

Apple recently removed one size option from its lineup: the 5.4-inch mini is no more, leaving just two sizes, 6.1-inch (vanilla and Pro) and 6.7-inch (Plus and Pro Max).
