The Honor 70 was launched in stores in Europe this Friday, while the Honor Pad 8 and the MagicBook 14 (Intel 12th generation) have been pre-ordered. But last week’s poll focused on the phone and the results are … mixed. It really depends on where you are in the world.
In Europe (particularly in the UK) the phone starts at £ 480 for an 8/128 GB unit. Many commentators consider it expensive for a Snapdragon 778G + powered phone – some have compared it to the £ 400 (1) Nothing Phone, another 778G + phone.
Additionally, the Honor 70 is classified as a camera phone (and the specs confirm this), although it has a specific style that isn’t for everyone – the company calls it a “vlog camera,” but some of our readers would have been happier with a telephoto lens instead of focusing on vlogging (for what it’s worth, the Nothing phone doesn’t even have a camera).
A commentator from Malaysia tuned in – the Honor 70 launched there a couple of weeks ago – and said the phone is actually pretty competitive.
