  After the Storm is a speculative fiction interactive novel written by Luiza Alves and illustrated by Will Jamison. As usual with Hosted Games' installments, It's mostly text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
  In stark contrast over most post apocalyptic stories, this is not about survival. It is about reconstruction. It's about recovery of the human race as a whole. This game really is a breath of fresh air, due to its unique story.
  
  
  –Synopsis
  It's hard to find one thing that caused such a large, decentralized problem. Global leaders and politicians ignored the warning signs of climate change until it was too late. Crop yields diminished, and resources became more and more scarce until a series of catastrophic weather events forced over half the world's population out of their homes. This happened over the course of several years, during which the 1% set up a series of shelters in the Northern part of the world and steadily relocated assets, companies, and technologies to what are now called rich-person bubbles. In these cities, everything functions pretty much how it used to- a system of government, electricity, heat, running water, phone lines, etc.
  
  About five years ago all the major world powers retreated into these bubbles, leaving their citizens to fend for themselves. What was left of the economy collapsed, along with local governments, and individual towns became responsible for their own survival. This created a wide disparity in resources and quality of life, which is why you, like many others, find it better to wander instead of settle.
