Review:
First I want to say that I can't believe that this is Emily Noon's debut novel. This is really great, I can't stop reading untill i finish it. This is not a short novel but you won’t get bored while reading it
And while this is a fantasy book but really it is more an epic romance with fantasy world as a background (and what an amazing world building here). There’s a shapeshifter here like wolves, tiger, dragon, winged shifter, and there’s human that come to this world using portal. So there’s fantasy world with modern technology
The first few chapters is a little bit slow like usual in fantasy genre, while the author slowly introduce us to the character and the world here. And after that it’s packed with adventure and of course romance (who doesn’t love romance in their adventure)
The romance between the main character is hot, sweet, steamy, it is just beautifully written. The main character here is Aurora, and I can’t love her enough. She is a badass and strong character but still sweet and fun. And her love interest is strong in her own way while not physically as strong as like Aurora. The dynamic between the two of the is interesting and satisfying to read.
While the ending is not hanging, I really hope that this is a series not a standalone novel. I want to read more about Aurora and Evie next adventure
Would you recommend this to other users? Yes, I absolutely recommend this book to people that love fantasy genre with a strong romace. You won't regret reading this book
