A unique rts fantasy game where you control a party of 4 heroes in a quest to save the world

Review:
Battleheart is to this day one of the best games on both android and ios. Its setting is a generic fantasy world where the big bad evil sorcerer does bad stuff amd the heroes have to stop him. It doesnt matter however, as its unique gameplay, and replayability is what sets it apart.

When you think rts what comes to mind is age of empires or starcraft or maybe the battles in total war, however, in battleheart you only have 4 characters max to use and on a single screen for a map. And being a smartphone you use them with your fingers, draging a line from your character to where you want him to move and/or attack, or you touch him and use one of his abilities, all in real time. Some characters are ranged and some are melee, so some move automaticaly to the target or just stand the shooting. The enemies can apear from everywhere on the screen, however, so you need to quickly move your squishy ranged units out of harms way and have your unit with highest defense aggro the enemies by hitting them.
After beating a stage you get exp for each character, and if one died its exp gets shared between the others (dont worry its not permadeath), some money and a piece of equipment. You can buy equipment or upgrade your equipment with money. Whem you level up, each 5th level you unlock a new ability slot, where you can change freely between 2 abilities, that btw dont cost mana, they only have a cooldown.
You can buy new heroes on the tavern, some with repeated classes, but with diferemt stats and some with unique classes. The game starts simple and easy with basic mobs and simple bosses, but soon the game will relentlessly throw mobs at you without interval and it quickly needs high apm to overcome the later stages

The main quality of this game is its customisation, there are plenty of diferent types of equipment, skills and party compositions that can affect your gameplan, thus giving it a near endless replayability, just by making a diferent party on your new playthrough, or grinding up new members to beat the final boss a diferent way.

Would you recommend this to other users? All in all it is a unique experience on mobile that has yet to encounter a worty contender, and with it being free(on the playstore at least) theres no reason not to try it out. Give it a go for 1 or 2 ours until you get the hang of it on a lazy afternoon or a boring car ride and you will most likely want to beat it at least once a year, as i have done since its release.
