I've heard of and read about the frenzy regarding allegations of government spying, but that could be just a bunch of paranoia fuel. Major mobile manufacturers like Samsung and Apple have had their share of backlash in the past, yet they improve and continue to do well.
As far as I know, the company is doing pretty good when it comes to sales. Their products are well-made and perform very well; as a user of the Honor 6X (I also have a Fusion 2 phone that still works) without any serious issues, I'm confident that Huawei will be fine in the future.
