Figured it out, when you use gold storage buildings it changes the cap, I think it has to do with clicking on the building when it is ready to give gold... that is what changes the cap. I've adjusted my vote back to 5 stars.

I am very thankful for the mode, however, with this last update, all of my dragons puts much more time than before to build something. I'm building stone yard and it's taking me days to build until the level 8. All of my dragons are at max level, before it took them less than 10 sec now its about minute or so. It's not a big deal I just wanted to state the issue.
