Okay guys and gals. I am back with anooother Indonesian and Malaysia (you know what? Just Malay in general) Stories!
Okay so the Topic of this day iiiiisss Toyol/Tuyul. Yeah.....
*ehem*
....
....
...
Soo A Toyol is a mythical creature from Malay folklore. It is said to be the ghost of a baby that died before it was born. In Indonesia, it is called the Tuyul. The name literally means “mischievous thief”. The Toyol is similar to a creature from Filipino mythology called the Tiyanak and the legendary Guman Thong from Thailand.
A Toyol is a dead baby that has been brought back to life by a Dukun/Bomoh (a Indonesian/Malaysian shaman) or somebody who is familiar with black magic. You can create a Toyol by digging up a dead baby and using black magic rituals and incantations to re-animate it.
The Toyol looks like a mummified baby, with green or gray skin, a big, bulbous head, pointed ears, piercing red eyes and sharp teeth. Some say it resembles a goblin. It is usually kept in a glass jar and hidden away in a dark place until it is needed.
When you own a Toyol, it is like making a contract with the devil. The Toyol has a temper like a small child and must be kept happy, entertained and well-fed. You must make offerings to the creature, like toys, milk, candy, sweets and biscuits.
You also have to nurse it by pricking your thumb and allowing it to suck your blood. If you don’t feed it, the Toyol will forcefully suck blood from your toes or the toes of your immediate family members while they sleep.
People who create a Toyol use it to steal from their neighbors. In return for food and protection, the Toyol will lurk around the village at night, running errands for its master… errands the summoner would rather not be seen doing himself. Typical “errands” would include petty thefts or vandalism, which the Toyol can get away with because of its tiny size.
To protect yourself from a Toyol, you can leave marbles around your house or hang garlic over your door. This will distract the Toyol and it will start playing with these items until, like a child, it forgets what it was supposed to do. To keep your money safe from a Toyol, place it on top of some needles or under a mirror. Toyols are terrified of needles and are scared of seeing their own reflection.
Once you obtain a Toyol, not only are you stuck with it for the rest of your life, but all your descendants will also be condemned to own it. What happens at the end of the contract is not very clear. There are only two ways to get rid of it. You can either bury it in a graveyard and lay the spirit to rest or you can throw it into the sea.
In one Malay story, there was a young man named Bachuk who was very lazy and couldn’t hold down a steady job. He was also addicted to gambling and any money he had was squandered in the casino. He lived with his wife and her sister, and has a hard time providing for them because of his laziness and his gambling.
One day, he was searching through his dead grandfather’s possessions when he came across a dusty old suitcase. Upon opening it, he found it contained what looked like the withered corspe of a baby. Suddenly, to his horror, the baby opened its red eyes and began speaking to him. He realized that it was a Toyol.
“Thank you for releasing me,” said the Toyol. “But there are… conditions. I can obey your wishes and give you power. But… I must eat…”
The young man sent the evil imp out to creep around the village at night, stealing the possessions of his neighbors. As time went on, Bachuk became rich and nobody suspected where his money came from.
However, the Toyol began making more and more demands. Bachuk realized that it wanted a new mother. The Toyol demanded that he be allowed to breastfeed from Bachuk’s sister, sucking blood instead of milk.
Bachuk sent his wife and sister away to keep them safe and when the Toyol discovered this deception, it flew into a rage. The Toyol attacked Bachuk and sucked every drop of blood from his body until he was nothing more than a withered and dessicated corpse. *Gag*
In 2006, a fisherman in Maylasia found a glass jar snagged in his net. Inside the jar was a small black figure that looked like a baby and had red eyes. To his horror, he was convinced he had stumbled upon a Toyol.
The fisherman gave the bottle to his local Bomoh and the Bomoh turned it over to a museum. The museum theorized it was some sort of fetish figure that had been used in a healing ritual, and had been cast into the water as part of that ritual.
Not knowing what else to do with it, they put it on display for a while and drew record crowds from Malay visitors anxious for a glimpse of the real supernatural. Eventually, the thing in the jar was returned to the sea… but not before hundreds of people had come to see it.
....
...
So thats why boy. Always trust your money in bank.
Oh and trust me the incident of tuyul is also well i will not say often but still happen. Also they have....well i say a 'counterpart' in form of 'Babi Ngepet'. But its story for another time^^

This story tells of a woman who married a pastor and all was well. They were well-respected in the community and wanted for nothing. However, the woman secretly harbored a deep fear. She absolutely did not want to have children. She sought out the advice of a witch, who told her she would have had seven children and gave her the equivalent number of stones to throw down a well—this spell would prevent her from ever having these children. Thinking she had nothing to fear, her life went on as normal, but one night she was out walking with her husband when he realized she had no shadow at all. He knew this meant she must have done great evil, and he tried to get the truth from her so she could confess her sins to him as a pastor, but she refused. He kicked her out of the house, and told no one in the village to take her in. He cursed her, saying that there would be a better chance a red rose would grow from the stone table in their dining room than the chance that she would be redeemed. Distraught, she left the village and eventually came upon another priest who agreed to help her. He told her she must stay in a church overnight with a book he had given her, and that she must not give it up to anyone until morning, although many would ask for it. During the night, she was haunted by the specters of the children she should have had, who spat at her for her selfish desire to not see them enter the world. In the morning, the pastor told her she had achieved redemption, but that she would die in only one day. She headed back to the village, hoping to see her husband again before the end, but no one wished to take her in due to the pastor’s earlier advice. Eventually someone did, and she died sleeping behind an old stove. The next morning, the pastor saw a red rose grow on his stone table, and in great worry, sought out his wife. Upon finding her dead, he soon went utterly mad and quickly died of grief.

Well guys that whats the Kuntilanak laugh if it got google-Voiced.

*ehem*
....
...
Many Indonesians believe that unseen beings live among them. So they have many different kinds of ghosts and many traditional legends that surround them. One of these ghosts is called a Kuntilanak (Malaysia: Pontianak). This ghost is considered to be very scary.
The Kuntilanak traditionally took the form of a bird and was seen flying from tree to tree. In more recent times this ghost is described as being a young female who died during childbirth. This ghost is said to seek revenge for her death.
She is described in various accounts in extremes. Some state she is very beautiful with long shiny black hair. It is stated that the distinct fragrance of the frangipani flower accompanies her.
In other accounts it is stated she wears a long white dress or shirt and is very pale in appearance. These more stark descriptions state that she has no eyes just dark sockets. People also say thag she also have a hole in the back of her neck.
According to one legend the Kuntilanak stalks pregnant women in order to steal their babies. Her ghost is said to make the sound of a “crying baby.” It is believed that if this sound is near it means she is far away but if this sound is far away it actually means she is close by.
She is also heard laughing wickedly. Many stories place sightings of her in isolated areas--she is often seen late at night on deserted streets.
One story told about an encounter with this ghost involves a young female college student. It is said this student was returning late one night to campus when she flagged down an angkot, which is a mini-bus that is used for public transportation in Indonesia.
She was looking out the large back window when this bus stopped abruptly. She was concerned to see the driver exit the bus quickly and run away. She then spotted the reason for his abrupt exit. A very pale woman dressed all in white was standing near the buses’ only door.
This student was shocked to see this figure was staring at her intently. A feeling of fear overwhelmed her as she realized this figure must be a Kuntilanak. She panicked as she realized that she was trapped in the bus.
The following morning the authorities found this abandoned bus with the college student still inside. She was found crouched down in a corner of the floor and was incoherent. She was taken to a hospital to recover but the terror she experienced was too great--it is said she lost her mind.
The last part of this story reflects another common belief about the Kuntilanak-- one reason people fear her is that fact that many of the unfortunate people who have encountered her have been driven insane.
Some are so scared they will not even look upon images of her.
ghost.jpg

Side note!
They say that the Kuntilanak is afraid of sharp objects and will not attack a woman if she is carrying either a nail, a knife or a scissors in her handbag. She can be killed by driving a nail into the hole in the back of her neck....
...
also FUN FACT : Theres a city in Indonesia that named based on the ghost, AKA Pontianak (they have very goods orange fruit there^^)

PROCTOR VALLEY ROAD

In the more rural part of San Diego County, there is a place known as Proctor Valley. Proctor Valley is a large and mostly deserted area with only one road. Stories and reports of unusual sightings in this area date back almost one hundred years. Strange reports began when cattle belonging to local ranchers were often found dead and mutilated. Other perfectly healthy livestock also died frequently, with no apparent cause of death. Some animals, including family pets, were found butchered in the aftermath of what appeared to be bizarre rituals conducted in the area. It’s never been discovered who or what was responsible for these disturbing acts.
The locals in the area became truly concerned when two children disappeared from a local rancher’s home. The parents awoke to find the children missing from their rooms, and the rancher later found their tracks leading away from the home. The tracks led into the surrounding wilderness, and simply disappeared without a trace. Search parties were organized, but the children were never found.
Another strange case involved the Proctor Valley Bakery. The Proctor Valley Bakery was one of the first businesses founded in the area. The owner of the bakery moved to Proctor Valley with his wife and two children, and he opened his bakery soon after. He was successful, kind, and a respected member of the community. Until one day he was found at home, after having murdered his wife and children. The man was found on his knees crying over their bodies. He was still dressed in his kitchen whites, which were covered in blood. He told investigators he had no memory of what had happened, and simply woke up to find himself hovering over the bodies of his family.
There are many unverified stories of rapes and murders in the area as well. There are many who think the area is haunted by restless ghosts and demons. The truth is, there are some places in this world that are ancient and inherently evil. Proctor Valley is one of these places. Today, Proctor Valley is home to a small community, and has one road running through it known as Proctor Valley Road.
Proctor Valley Road is an old road than can take you between the cities of Chula Vista and Jamul, near San Diego, California. Over the years, many people have reported strange occurrences after driving on the road. There isn’t much to see if you decide to drive there during daylight. You might notice a few ranch houses and abandoned buildings scattered along the side of the road, but not much else. If you’re feeling brave, however, you can take a drive along Proctor Valley Road after dark.
It doesn’t matter if you start on the road heading east or west. The important thing to remember is, under NO circumstances are you to stop along the road. In fact, before heading out, make sure your car has no mechanical issues, and a full tank of gas. Beware, there have been reports of perfectly operational cars breaking down, although this is rare. You will most likely encounter things that will make you reluctant to continue driving, but once you decide to drive the road after dark, there’s no changing your mind. Yes, it’s entirely possible you won’t encounter anything unusual on your drive. Many people have driven the road and reported nothing beyond a strange and uneasy feeling throughout the trip. However, if you do see anything unusual, don’t stop your car. You may see things that cause you to feel concerned, confused, or even something that will terrify you. Just remember to stay in your vehicle and continue straight ahead.
The road begins as a typical paved street. Before long, you’ll come across a sign indicating the end of the pavement, and the rest of your trip will be along a dirt road. Once you’ve gone that far, keep your eyes open and don’t let anything distract you. Your phone will most likely lose signal once you reach this point. If you do have signal, you’ll notice the battery life on your phone will decline rapidly.
The first strange thing you might see is a lady in the blue dress. Sightings of the lady in the blue dress are the most commonly reported paranormal activity on Proctor Valley Road. You might see her standing along the side of the road, attempting to flag you down. You might also see her curled in a fetal position alongside the road. Whatever the case, ignore her and keep driving. The history behind the lady in the blue dress is unknown, but everyone who has encountered her has described a horrible feeling of dread. Many say she’s no lady at all, but some kind of demon trying to convince you to stop. No one knows for sure, but under no circumstance are you to stop for her.

If you decide to drive with your windows down, (which I don’t recommend), it’s possible you will hear a piercing scream echo through the hills. Some individuals have reported their vehicle completely breaking down upon hearing the scream, and they were not able to start it again until the screams subsided (which can often take several minutes). If this happens, keep calm until you can start your vehicle, then exit the area as quickly as possible. Do NOT get out of your vehicle.

circumstance are you to stop for her.

If this happens, keep calm until you can start your vehicle, then exit the area as quickly as possible. Do NOT get out of your vehicle.
If you drive along Proctor Valley Road during a full moon, you might see strange creatures in the countryside. Some have reported sightings of a large beast they describe as similar in appearance to an ape. Others have seen large coyotes walking upright on their hind legs. Further reports indicate sightings of a large, furry, bovine creature with bells attached to it wandering the road. The Bonita Museum near Proctor Valley claims to have a cast footprint of this creature. You may also discover small hand prints appear along your windows. Ignore this, and continue to drive.
I recommend you don’t go alone if you decide to drive the road at night. There truly is safety in numbers, however sometimes passengers will report strange occurrences happening with one another. One woman accompanied her sister and her sister’s boyfriend during the drive. The woman stated she fell asleep in the back seat, and when her sister looked back to check on her, she was horrified to see a horned, shadowy figure with red eyes hovering over her. She stated she knew without a doubt it was the devil. Others have reported strange behavior displayed by their passengers. Even the calmest, most passive individuals have been known to act paranoid, aggressive, violent, or hysterical. Whatever the case, do not allow your passengers to distract you until you reach the other side of the road.
The rarest (and most terrifying) thing you might encounter is what is known as the Demon Car of Proctor Valley Road. No one knows where it came from, or why it inhabits the area. You might see headlights appear behind you, possibly as far as one mile away. Before long, you’ll find the headlights are right behind your vehicle, regardless of how fast you are driving. If you drive off road, they will follow. You will have a very hard time outrunning it. The headlights will back off every so often, before suddenly moving forward to within an inch of your rear bumper. The headlights will move violently back and forth and you will hear a horn honking at you repeatedly. Do not stop your car. Do not attempt to turn around. Keep driving until you reach pavement. Once you do, you’ll see the headlights stop, and turn around to drive back in the other direction. It will disappear into the night faster than you thought possible, and the headlights will no longer be visible.
It’s possible you’ll encounter other strange things along the road that I didn’t mention. Whatever the case, continue driving until you’re on the other end of the road. Once you’ve reached pavement again, things should be back to normal.
Throughout the years, there have been many stories of tragedy and terror stemming from Proctor Valley. Perhaps all the stories are just old legends, started by ranchers to keep people out of the area. Maybe none of the stories are true. Still, there’s something inherently terrifying about Proctor Valley Road. Something that awakens an instinctual, prehistoric terror buried inside all of us. Maybe it’s best to be cautious while driving there at night..at least until you’ve reached the end of the road.

Now guys at this point you gotta admit that Indonesia have few of the most stranges ghost and spirits, maybe only rivalled by the japanese (no seriously they have a youkai that have eye in the place of butthole) but still...my point stand, so here is it one of the top ghost of Indonesia, The Pocong
*ehem*
.....
...
..
Imagine you are out driving late at night and suddenly, you have to step on the brakes as a dead body, wrapped in white linen and tied with rope, comes hopping across the road in front of you. This is the Pocong.
The Pocong's face is pale green, withered and rotting. There are two dark, hollow holes where its eyes should be. It is usually found in villages, wandering through the night, jumping up and down as though in search of something or someone. The Hantu Pocong's leap can range up to 40 or 50 meters. It has also been known to roll along the ground as well.
In the Indonesian language "Pocong" is a cloth shroud that is used to wrap dead body before burial. In Muslim burials, the body is wrapped in the shroud and then it is tied in three places: over the head, around the neck and under the feet.
According to legend, the deceased person's soul stays on earth for 40 days after they die. After 40 days have passed, the ties have to be released to allow the soul to escape. If the ties aren't released, the dead body will turn into a ghost and jump out of the grave, becoming a pocong. Because its feet are tied together, the pocong can't walk and hops along the road instead.
If you encounter the pocong, it won't harm you, but it will follow you wherever you go. It will only attack someone who blocks its path. So, if you ever stumble across a pocong, don't stand in its way or you'll regret it. There are only two ways to escape from the pocong. You can lie on the ground and pretend to be dead or you can try and evade it by running down a long, winding road until it loses sight of you. Only when the knots are untied will the ghost stop haunting you.
There was a little girl who lived in the kampong (Mean small village). After school, she had to attend religious classes and each time she went, she had to pass through a small forest. The trees were closely packed and never let any light shine through. The place was always creepy and deserted and she hated having to pass through the area.
One night, she finished her religious classes and was passing through the forest as usual. As she walked, she was scared and kept saying prayers under her breath. All of a sudden, she heard some bumping sounds behind her. She kept saying her prayers, but the bumping sounds followed her. When she walked slowly, the bumping followed softly. When she walked fast, the bumping sound grew louder.
Just as she was reaching home, the girl plucked up enough courage to glance behind her. What she saw filled her with horror. It was like a new born baby, but it was all wrapped up in a white shroud of death.
Terrified, she shouted, "Go home! I didn't disturb you, so you shouldn't disturb me!"
Then, she turned and ran home as fast as her legs would carry her. On the way, she heard the bump bump bump following her. Desperate to get away, she started dodging through trees and jumping over ditches. Eventually, she ran down a long path, turning left and right until she managed to lose the ghost.
When she finally got home, she hurriedly washed her legs and face. The next day, she told her mother what she had seen. Her mom said that it was a pocong and told her daughter that she should have hugged it. Many people believe if you are brave enough to wrap your arms around a Pocong, you will become very wealthy. Then, you should untie the knot over its head and set the soul of the dead person free.
.....
...
..
So guys the moral is dont be scared of the Pocong, they just want to hug you. But cant because, well their hands are wrapped.....
I mean they look like a Dakimura pillow....horror version!

Okay there ladies and gentlemen, Haave you been come to Bali and see the dance show where one of the characters faced sinister and long fangs? Well that what we called ‘ Leak ‘. (Sue me i lost my 'Intro book')
...
..
*ehem*
...
So...‘Leak’ was a human who is practicing black magic and have cannibalistic behavior. It is said that ‘Leak’ is flying around try to find a pregnant woman in order to suck her baby’s blood or a newborn child, to complete her magical skill. There are three legendary Leak, two females and one male. Leak with the great magic skill can transform into ‘Rangda’, queen of black magic. ‘Leak’ is said haunt the graveyards, feed on corpses, have power to change themselves into animals, she even take the form of a monkey with golden teeth (Pfff..) or a massive rat, a ball of fire and even a bald-headed giant(Pffff.ehem). It is said that she have an unusually long tongue and large fangs.
In daylight she appear as an ordinary human, but at night her head and entrails break loose from their body and flying around. Her powerful enemy is ‘Barong’, a character in the mythology of Bali. He is the king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good. ‘Barong’ and ‘Rangda’ exist in the natural order of the cosmos and represent as Good and Evil. Both ‘Barong’ and ‘Rangda’ are cemented in Balinese legend.
The legend of ‘Leak’ in Bali refers to a horrible black magic inspired drama with the key figure of ‘Calon Arang’. There was a widow called ‘Calon Arang’ at the village of ‘Girah’ having a beautiful daughter. Her daughter name is ‘Ratna Manggali’, who has reached her adultery, but no one among youths from the village and surrounding had the courage to approach the virgin. This is because her mother is known to have black magic knowledge, and practiced it maliciously, and with her bad attitude causing many people were dead even hatred was increasing among the people, yet this is used as a temptation to her thirsty black magic need. Her bad reputation at last reached the palace, and some soldiers took initiative and asked permission to the king to punish the widow. The soldiers headed to the village of ‘Girah’ and found her sleeping. One solder drag her by her hairs, but unfortunately she awaken and once she was startled she glared with her 2 wild eyes emanating fire shooting and burnt the soldier, the other took a hundred steps of flee but again her blitz eye fires burnt them except one solder survived the malicious black magic fur. This soldier then reported his horrible experience to the king, and made the king totally upset and run out of reason to overcome the problem. ‘Calon Arang’ know that the palace involved in this scandalous act of murder trial, and she become uncontrollably angry and spread her magic malicious power causing great epidemic.
....
...
...
...
Well thats it *shrug*

My great Grandmother (who had Dementia and was Schizophrenic) used to tell my siblings and I this story in Greek about a creature that came after children. However, the gods decided that he had too much power, so they limited his actions to only control inanimate objects. At night, as children slept, he'd go and bring all the toys that were left out to life to mess with the children in their sleep. Anytime one of us would wake up with a bug bite or something she'd tell us it was from our toys biting us in our sleep.
That's terrifying! I don't know what I would've done.
