When I looked on this thread I couldn't believe how many active users are here I really thought that the active user thing was a red hering to make us believe that you were doing something about taking away the daily bonus.you could of blown me down with a feather go figure.
Anyway I have noticed that the forum doesn't seem quite as friendly as it was before.it was taken away so it has had a detrimental knock on effect I think that a one size fits all punishment never works anyway if they know that people were abusing it that should of been the way to go a reward for the bounty hunters that bubled the lowlife that were doing it and then.taking away the sbcash they had pilfered was the punishment that or a good old fashioned lynching that's what I think anyway.😈
That would be a great punishment if were 1-10 people who were abusing it but it was a lot of people. Not only the daily SB Points but the contests and prize codes too... Unfortunately I don't think it would be possible for Sbenny to take all the SB Points from every single one of them. People could come and say that Sbenny was mistaken, that they weren't abusing. It's complicated :(

As nice as it would be to rely on honesty, most (if not all) of the people here came to get things for free :ROFLMAO:

Nobody can deny the old daily login was easy for all, honest members of not.
(Everybody only needs to log in to get SB Points.)
It could also felt like a simply download site, instead of a forum.

The new daily also feels like an activity bonus; It is called "Active User".

Let's take a step back and look at what the true problem is/are.
Leechers and multi-accounts:
The leecher problem cause Sbenny to discontinue the VIP system.
Multi-accounts caused us to lose our daily login rewards.

How did those happen? Let's take another step back.
The Youtube giveaway event, the epicenter of it all.
Back then 60,000 SB Points can be converted to 1 day VIP and back then everybody can redeem codes for YT giveaway. These two factors worked too well together and dishonest people took advantage of it. Sure, there was still a big gap in SB Points, but if you combined it with the old daily login or a small one-time donation.

If 1 redeem code could (and it did) give 2000 SB Points per account:
Say if a person made 10 accounts, effective "scapegoats" against cash consumptions;
It is still required to pay SB Points to unlock links and download but if a person uses multiple-accounts, the account(s) that dried out of cash can keep on logging each day to replenish.
They won't get rich but they don't lose cash the same way an honest member with only 1 account does.

But the Youtube giveaway is gone now and the 60,000 SB Points for VIP trade is also discontinued.
Now the only problem is multi-accounts the "scapegoats". How can we solve this?

Should we give a lot more rewards or give mods for free again?
This way nobody needs to make more than 1 account.
But before I even joined the forum, the requirements to download were:
Make an account and "Reply" or "Like" on a thread. (For free.)
Then leechers came and Sbenny implemented the SB Points system.

Here's a new question:
Do we need to change or do we need to revert back?
Not far back, not back to the "Reply" or "like" system;
BUT revert back to the way it was before the Youtube giveaway and SB Points trade for VIP;
During those days:
Not as many complain.
Nobody is forced to talk/post, but some still choose to do so.
The reality is: Not all talkers are nice talkers or good quality talkers and some are not talkers at all.

EDIT:
As you can see, I have no strongly-viable solution against multi-accounts, and I think the "Active User" Badge was meant to be that solution.

Sounds nice and reasonable to me but at the same time, if you look back at the comments there has been people that offered solution to multi-accounts and the limiting of leeching from "bad people"-not the antisocial ones(as they aren't an issue or at least, shouldn't be an issue). Which is to place a limit to how many accounts can be made & accessed by 1 IP, to 1-2 accounts maximum(saying 2 as a possibility for the cases that more than one people in a family/house, is accessing this website). And put a limit of 2-3 downloads max, per 24 hours to each user/account.

I think it sounds like a viable solution.

The IP idea would be a strong solution if everybody is honest.

Except u can't do it like by IP adress. It's too easily changeable. Hell, I don't have to do anything and my IP changes every 24 hours (my internet provider fault). For others using any VPN works. It would be a bit trickier for "multi-accounters", but I have no doubt in my mind, that they would not stop abusing the site.

Need SB Points? Start sharing bit by bit, and before you know it, you will have more SB Points than your initial target.

Except if your target is 60k or 100k SB Points, that's a lot of cash to go...

I don't think you are being rough and i don't think anyone could be mad at you for expressing your frustration so eloquently. There has already been other threads regarding this and i wouldn't say that the support for these measures is as clean cut as one would think. However, there are bulletpoints that we should all consider like the fact that Daily SB is in a "trial and error" sort of phase and that despite the different publications and publicities about cracked/modded games, the community of this site serves a different purpose than "Hacking Games Because Lol". For example, i haven't downloaded anything in a loooong time :ROFLMAO:.
The SB situation is regrettably far from being fair, just and/or balanced and I share the sentiment that there are steps that could change the whole thing into something way more productive.
I think it's cool that you have opinions on the subject, however don't be "bummed out" because of it! Relaaaax! It's better to have a positive attitude along with that constructive side that you already show ^_^ Keep up! :D
Totally get what you mean. As a fresh user, even after reading the guides and whatnot, I still get confused over what I can do as a user to earn sbcash. Most of the things I can do like leave a review or what is locked until you make a payment to unlock the original post, and it generally does not seem worth it to pay like 12000 Sbcash just to get a 10 SBcash reward after polling.

I think what can be done is to implement a system where in order to disable cheaters and abusers, you can limit the amount of accounts per IP, and thus ensure that people do not just spam accounts to abuse the system.

Or verifying through other methods too, like having to post an introduction of create a bio before being allowed to post, thus making the work of creating new accounts more tiring and reducing the number of abusers.

And then to prevent bots from creating accounts, just place some anti-bot system like captcha to reduce the number of people betting to create accounts.

I already suggested account verification but gained no direct reply from forum members or staff members.
While some already pointed out VPNs are used to mask IP, making IP based restrictions minuscule.

Yep. While you can use VPN to make new accounts without IP restriction, what you can do is also make a creation of account more than just verification. Like force them to create a bio with minimum standard, which would make creating accounts harder and more tedious.

Add that on to having to switch to vpn everytime you're creating one. It makes the process of making alternate accounts harder. Thus discouraging these people.

First! Welcome, New Blood! ♥ Happy to have a free thinker join the forum! Is always nice to discuss ideas and, while i think that all of yours are worth considering, what like the most about your post is that you keep the focus on the true origin of the measures as opposed to getting distracted by the current state of affairs (which i appreciate greatly coming from a fresh user since you guys have it tough!).

The real problem always was (and is) alternate accounts and leechers. Sadly, i don't see how SB is related in any way to stopping these people as the real problem persists. Banning IP certainly helps since i don't think many users know what a VPN is and much less so how to properly use it, HOWEVER, I also believe that at some point there has to be a compromise...this is after all a website dedicated (partially) to hacking and modding applications in order to make them fully accesible for free...not EXACTLY honorable if we are being honest (although have you seen some of the in-game-markets in certain apps? EXACTLY!). My point being: "Is it really surprising for other websites to use your crack, mate?". And how much does it affect you as user and part of this community? Do you feel the measures in place provide a solution in the same way that they celebrate your involvement with the rest of the community?

All important questions, me says :D

Welcome, Cutrea. That's a very interesting username!
Anyways, just a little addendum: you don't need to make reviews only of things that you can find here in Sbenny. So you can review a book you read or a movie, tv show you watched. It doesn't specially need to have in here.

Hence not only the limit per IP but also limit in downloads per 24 hours. Plus just because your IP changes, doesn't mean that everyone does and I don't think that they will go to the extent of VPN. Not mention that being careful and trying to prevent abusers is one thing and okay but going into a paranoid defense mode, turning against even the non abusers isn't the solution. Like at this point it feels like because some people did a crime/abuse, now everyone is being punished because of it. This isn't justice or fair.

Furthermore not only did some people with ill intent cheat the system but they turned the system against it's own people/community, harming it. So if the bad people intent was to harm this website, it seems like they succeeded with the blessings of the system/owner. And this is the second time the system is being unfair. I am still sour at the fact that just because some under 18 people downloaded and played NSFW games, the NSFW games are now locked behind VIP/paywall. As if the under 18 people don't have access to the rest of the internet which is filled with adult content. Even on websites that have nothing to do with porn(like comics or mangas), there are sexual/porn advertisements. And let's not forget at a lot of NSFW content that is daily on our TV's at home. Or the slutty costumes that fill the stores during Halloween.
And just because our society is like this(pervy or whatever you'd call it) or some families can't keep their kids in check, the whole website became prude and treat all of us as if we are kids/in kinder-garden.

To be noted, even on this website/sbenny forum, I see ads about PUBG video game(a NSFW or should be NSFW game). without being a VIP owner myself. A game about killing-murdering/shooting and survival, having all kinds of weapons, violence and blood. A game that tons of under 18 people play and are allowed to play or they play an alternative game-Fortnite. Obviously such content isn't limited to just these two video games, the amount of video game titles that contain all this content plus sexually suggestive themes, is virtually uncountable(tons of them). But oh yeah I forgot that our societies are okay with said content, whether it's video game, news, movies ect. We humans do such a great job at being hypocrites or having double standards and not making any sense.

It seems so far like sbenny website, when money is involved~will make exclusions to the "rule" of so called "protecting their community/minors", it will further try to make profit by putting lots of games behind VIP/paywall and then ontop of that make SB Points harder to get. Suddenly the unfair punishment of non abusers, doesn't look to be by accident and "oh the only possible solution we could see for now"(on another note, correct me if I am wrong but NSFW stuff being in VIP was supposed to be a temporary solution, then again as people from where I am from say "Nothing is more permanent than the temporary " and the same is highly likely to apply to SB Points too). It feels like it's something intended. Is it really a community or are we a cattle? Does sbenny website truly care about it's community? Or is it simply looking at it's pocket/money?

Here's another good idea. Discouraging abusers is good. Making decisions/policies against your entire community because of the abusers, isn't.
Not to mention that e-mail verification is great on it's own(it would require the abusers to have many e-mails and every time they change/access a different account or verify, they have to change IP as well to the specific IP that created the said account and in cases of IP changing due to your ISP or router reset ect, the website can make you have to verify that it's you by sending a code to your e-mail, that you have to insert, similar to how Steam works among other websites ), as well as using a captcha system to log-in, which can prevent the use of bots.

There are multiple ways to deal with the abusers without turning against non-abusers. I don't think that non abusers will mind the e-mail verification or captcha or having to go to their e-mail and use a code to log-in, if their "default" IP changes. Even the requirement of writing a bit of a biography/something about themselves.

I whole heatedly agree with this. By utilizing IP addresses in conjunction with email verification captcha and even Facebook/social media it will become much harder for people, even if they use a VPN to create a login to multiple accounts. Another way is not only limiting downloads allowed daily, but also limiting the time between downloads. If a person has to wait an hour between downloads even if they abuse the daily login with multiple accounts they will also be limited so they can't just spam the daily download allowance for each account. With this I think it will help the admins not get overwhelmed by the abusers, because they would have seriously restricted them, so even if they still want to stubbornly make new accounts they'll have to pay for it by wasting a lot of time...just a thought.

If you dont have time to be qualified as an active member, you always can buy SB Points. It will help this community site a lot and it can be considered as a token of appreciation to the modder.
