Name of the movie you are reviewing: Stardust

Based on the Neil Gaiman book of the same name, Stardust follows Tristan Thorn's journey to becoming a man. All he has to do is find a fallen star.

Review:
Stardust is a very pleasant, easy to watch film. Suitable for older children and adults of all ages. Stardust combines fantasy and romance with a perfect balance of the two. Gentle watching with enough action to stay engaging. The story is well paced with the right combination of tension, light hearted banter and humour, romance, action, magic and fantasy.

The characters are well developed, rounded and compliment one another. They fit in well to the story and the different stories link together really well. None of the stories feel like filler.

Stardust includes a number of famous faces but the lesser known actors performed just as well. Acting is believable and endears you to the characters. Casting was perfect for the characters. Good direction too. De Niro is especially charming in his role.

CGI and special effects certainly leave a lot to be desired, even of a film of this age, at at times can remove the sense of immersion and makes the film feel a little unfinished and cheap.

Stardust is a charming film worth watched and rewatching. Though in my opinion you can't go far wrong when adapting from a Gaiman story. His characters and stories are beautiful and this translates well to screen, including in the case of Stardust.

Would you recommend this to other users? Yes. Anyone who enjoys a bit of fantastical romance will enjoy Stardust.
