TERMINATOR GENISYS: GUARDIAN Data Transfer

Alright so not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I've logged into my google play acct already but when I try playing on a different device my progress does not transfer and I'm starting back from the beginning. Does anyone have better options on transferring to a new device or even backing up game save?
