the arcana is a visual story and a LGBT friendly otome game, you take the role of a prodigy tarot card reader and magician apprentice (your gender of choice) and immerse in the plot that takes place in the kingdom you live in, you can choose a romance with one of your companions, which each uncovers a side/part of the entire plot. something big and demonic going on about a plague and an unsloved murder, with only your magic and tarot cards on your hand, your journey begins to uncover the mystery, with the company of your romance of choice.

your journey thus commence with the choice of your romance, and your master's familiar, faust, a cute purple and smart ! snake, each romance has over 22chapters matching the major arcana cards, going between the real and the arcana realms, a whole magical journey awaits to uncover the mystery ahead. You can both have the good and the bad endings depending on your choices, paying much mind to how it affects each character.
youve got Asra, a wanderer magician and your teacher in magic, you live under the same roof and own a tarot reading shop. Nadia, Countess of Vesuvia, aka the kingdom who comes seeking for your help on uncovering an unsolved murder of her husband the count. Julian, a mysterious plague doctor who is suspected to be behind the murder, who also comes to ask for your help; Portia, sister of julia, head servant and favorite maid of Nadia; Muriel, asra's best friend who lives in woods, seems to always be forgotten by everyone for some mysterious reason, and at last, Lucio, the dead Count, thats right ! he is presonally my favorite, accompanies you as a ghost at first but there is much to his mystery than it looks.
each character has an arcana patron, and each has made a deal with their patron, giving them magical seals, which can give you a hint behind each ones mystery.
Beside each character's mystery, the unsolved murder and the plague, there is also your own mystery to solve, as you seem to suffer from a severe amnesia unable to retrieve your memories, and all of these incredibly are related to eachother, the plot is just amazing to uncover.
Would you recommend this to other users? totally recommend ! the characters are so lovable and the scenes and moments you share are just unforgettable and so lovely, fun, and even angst and sadness takes place, you get so immersed in those moments i personally love it
something i recommend, is that you leave Asra's route the last, because it encovers your own mystery and can spoil other's routes, at least play it after youve finished Julian's and Nadia's in that order.
