Name of the movie you are reviewing: The Golem

The Golem is movie based on the Jewish legend of The Golem of Prague and the tale of Maharal, but actually set after nearly twenty years in a small Shtetl in Lithuania.

Review:
Hell break loose, we have a Jewish movie about Jewish angels and Jewish revenge. Set nearly twenty years after the fabled Maharal summoned a clay golem to save his people, but eventually the golem went mad and attacked the people it was supposed to protect, ultimately resulting in both its and the Rabbi dismiss.

The Golem explores the story of Hanna, a red headed women (oh joy, why do movies need to represent outsmart women as redhaired), who defies the rule of men, and even study the Kabbalah. It shows early anti Semitic during movements such as the Chmielnicki Uprising. The Catholic people also blamed the Black Plague to Jewish and their witchcraft.

Hanna also summons a Golem defying her husband, her rabbi and their healer priestess. Golems do not abid by the rule of men, they are the embodiment of anger, vegeance, treachery and blood. Ultimately both the golem and the Catholics set the village under siege and fire, after some hub hubbie flirt and dying villain’s daughter.

However, the film is a historic mess, women wear pink lipsticks, people speak in a British accent, with contemporary slangs, an automatic pistol appears out of nowhere (look it is the 1600s they didn't even had huge amount of gunpowder). There are cemented houses, mean wear underwear (dude wher my good ol trousers at) and horses are saddled.

Would you recommend this to other users? The film is good for non Jewish people, you get to know our culture, our beliefs, our lores. However the film is innacurate and portray women in a cliche way, which disappointed me a little bit.
