Review:
The secret on Sycamore hill is a point and click adventure mystery game. With Built in Hint System, Map, Compass, and Diary notes to help you on this Adventure! Solve Riddles, Puzzles, collect inventory, and solve the mystery of Sycamore Hill! The quality in this game is very nice - you can tell a lot of thought went into crafting the scenes, and creating the puzzles. Parts of the game were easy, but at other times I found myself lost, and wanting to reference some hints for extra guidance. Overall, the imagery, sound effects, and puzzles make for a fun quest!

Each room you enter you collect clues before you can move on to the next adventure to be unlocked. You can trace back and search clues that you previously missed. Navigation can be confusing. To go back, usually tap the bottom of the screen. It would have been nice if there were some discreet direction arrows. Clues you get tell you to go back to screen number and if you have been battling your way through you almost have to go back to beginning and count the screens to get where you need to find the clues.

The music itself could put you to sleep. Not into classical piano music myself , but for those that enjoy it they will surely love the music. The little floating stars add to the ambiance of classical music. You collect clues in your satchel and that is where you will find a diary that contains pictures of things you have seen thru your adventure.

Thanks to lucky patcher the adventure game became a little easier to maneuver around. Although you can play it without the lucky patcher it will take you longer to maneuver through the game and may even test your nerves at times. The lucky patcher allows you to save the extra money you would spend on solving rooms and obtaining clues.

The puzzles were simple such as taking items and placing them in the correct slot to get the desired design. Some were unclear as to the objecting but again you need to go back and try and figure it out. A brain twister for sure.

The clues were searching thru rooms and finding the correct clue to the room you actually wanted. (Example to tune the radio you need to find the postcard with the megahertz number on it. ) Then go back to the room and use the clue. Most clues were hidden inside paintings. Thanks to lucky patcher there is one area where it shows you the rooms you have been through and you can click the screen on the screen and it will take you to the room and you can skip the searching and get your completion of that room.

I recommend you try this if you are into the point and shoot match type games and have the time to spend on it. There is always something more to learn as you go along. Concentration and attention to small detail helps you maneuver the game. It is definitely a one person game.
