Well most people seem to think that is what it means and some of the recent leaks from MSW seems to be pointing in that direction as well. Some of what was said has made me realize that joking about them ripping off Dark Empire isn't correct. They have really done it. This is what I mean
Instead of hiding his secret bases in the core Palpatine hid them in the unknown regions. And instead of waiting six years after Endor to attack and destroy the NR he waited 30
instead of a huge army coming out of the core and sweeping over the new Republic a huge army came out of the unknown regions. With both bringing us back to a Rebels vs Empire setting that lasts about a year
instead of the Galaxy gun (think space station that fires missiles though hyperspace) we get starkiller base and instead of blowing up the Rebellion headquarters on Pinnacle Moon they blow up the new Republic headquarters of hosnian prime. Also instead of things like the World Devastators we get miniaturized Death Star Lasers and super dreadnoughts.
Instead of the eclipse with it's super laser we instead get the supremacy as well as a mountable/moveable Death Star superlaser. Though the Eclipse does exist in Canon as Palpatines flagship (and one of the first ships to join the FO in the UK regions) we don't know if it has the super laser.
