Name of the app you are reviewing: Tokyo Afterschool Summoners

Tokyo Afterschool Summoners or TAS is a game where you play as MC with an amnesia who got summoned inside Tokyo. You have to restore your previous memory and find out who summoned you to Tokyo.

Review:
Language - First of all the game is out globally but half of the content are still on japanese language especially the new ones. Getting a google translate application to help you understand of the new event or just wait until it get translated.

Character - Covering the important ones

Character or Heroes are called Transients on TAS.
Transients are divided to 5 ratings ranging from 1 star to 5 star rating. You will know the transient rarity by looking at their portrait. On the rarity of 1 to 2 star are all the mobs you have fought in game. Rarity of 3 to 5 star are specific transients.
You cannot "evolve" a 3 star transient to a 4 or 5 star transient, sadly you have to pull them on the gacha banner.
Transients has different attributes and play as modifiers of a character attack. If you attack at advantageous element you will get 1.5x ~ 2x attack multiplier and if you attack at disadvantage you will receive 0.5x penalty as attack multiplier.
Transients has weapon types which will use during battle. Each weapon has designated attack multiplier to make it simple, the bigger attack range the lower attack multiplier.
Transients has "unique" skill set from one another(though some has same skill of another character). Activating said transient , you need to fulfill its requirement whether you need to move,to attack, get attack or missing attack. the RNG proc rate also rolling along with the said skill activation.
Each rarity of Transient has a "cost" and the cost number is depending on the summoner's level so you cannot go big and equip all 5 stars transients.
Lastly, Transient has relationship boost system this is predetermine by the story. An example of a boost is if your transient likes another transient, upon moving towards that character, your transient will get 10% skill activation rate. Yup it rewards you for reading or knowing the lore or story.

Gameplay - First thing you notice the game has stamina system which is use for going into a quest and first time you cleared a quest gives you one transient stone. The game does force you to get a friend support at the fourth slot of your party. Your party is compose of two to six member(this includes the support) and the first four member will be the first one on the field. The other two will replaced anyone who got knocked out during enemy turn.

To make TAS combat simple to understand. Its like playing chess where you the player is the white piece player so you move and attack first then your enemy will be the black piece player who goes second. You can only move one character at a time like in chess but all of your characters can attack within weapon range. Anyone that got their HP reduce to 0 will get knockout and enable to participate. Character has different way to activate their skill, some has activation when you move then some activate by hitting enemy, etc.
During battle you will know how many waves are there and there will be reinforcement at the enemy side. Currently there are Challenge quest aka quest with various gimmick to beat it.

Story -
It starts out when Main character or MC got summoned in Tokyo thru a big light portal. You don't remember anything besides your name then your phone ringed and summoned a familiar named Solomon. He explained to you that you were summoned in a game inside Tokyo. While Salomon is explaining you heard someone screamed and go the the place where you heard the scream. You saw a guy being beaten up by an ogre so you did fight it and rescue the guy.The guy introduce himself as Ryota , who was running late towards his dorm due to curfew time.Upon arriving Ryota introduced you to his friend Shiro and Kengo. Shiro suggested to MC that you should visit Mr. Mononobe one of the teacher of Shinjuki Academy. After meeting with Mr. Mononobe ,he prepared all the forms to be filled for you to become a student. From here you the MC have to learn about Tokyo with your new found friends.

UI - User Interface is clunky that takes 5 seconds before you can move. If you play games like FGO , you may find similarities on several things.

Event - TAS has lots of event ranging from reruns of event and new event which helps new player. The Event is a shop that has lots of item to be brought for fast progress and the quest has big player exp on it so by doing it is killing two birds with one stone.
As a veteran player, the only thing good on a new events are the summoning tickets and AR ticket for summoning and seeds to permanently enhance your character in battle.

Gacha - This game doesn't have pity pull or spark system when pulling. Thankfully the game decided to put character and AR Equipment on the separate banner. When doing multi pulls, you are guarantee to get a 4star from the pull and you have higher chance of the character in the banner you are rolling. From experience, gachagods loves to give off banner character so best to have the lowest expectation.

Equipment System - TAS only has one equipment system which is AR or Akashic Record which gives another skill and small stats boost when equip. AR has class and equipment requirement so not everyone can use it. The game gives like 5 AR equipment just buy playing the game. They aren't game breaking but like having free anti debuff every phase is good on my book.

Would you recommend this to other users? This game most resembles FGO in a way but it caters more of Husbando and Furries character and game isn't generous for its game currency which it will take time like one to two months just to do multi summoning on a gacha. Gameplay wise, this doesn't have flashy or good animation during battle and I consider it as old fashion gacha game.
I only recommend it if you are into Husbando or Furry collecting gacha.
