I am ridiculous player, maybe indie player, so I usually played Machinecraft, and when this game became somehow outdated, moved to TinkerTech, which is hardly inspired by machinecraft. However I don't know can I recommend it or not, because it's more about thinking of with small community, instead of actually playing. Maybe you can try factorio, besiege, or even clone drone in the danger zone... Yeah, these are not AAA games, but I had a great time playing them too.
