To start with the basics, Boss Rush is a new Quick Battle format that will be the first Gameplay Player versus Environment (PvE). in the MOBA game. The following are the moves the Bosses have in the game. Players avoid those moves in order to receive minimal damage and last longer in the game. Here are the tips for players to dodge.
Araquanide
- Sticky Web: Araquanid spreads webs across the battlefield, slowing any Pokémon caught in the Area of Effect (AoE).
- How to avoid: This move is pretty easy to avoid. Players take note of the red marker as Araquanid is about to launch his webs. Also, the cobwebs stay on the ground for a while, so avoid them at all costs.
- Water pump: Araquanid loads water from his intestines and lines up a powerful beam of water in a straight line.
- How to avoid: This move hits in a straight line, so use the cooldown time to avoid the red hit zone at any cost.
- Family call: Araquanid summons a Dewpider treasure that works in unison to destroy anything in its path.
- How to avoid: Dewpiders can easily be on you. Hence, players must try to focus on them before Araquanid. Their HP is quite low. Therefore, it won’t be a big headache.
Avalugg
- Iron defense: Avalugg summons huge shields to bolster his defense and survives attacks from his enemies.
- How to avoid: The move is used to protect Avalugg, not to hit Pokemon. Players must continue attacking while this move is active. This move won’t bother me much. In the case of the Intermediate or Extreme modes, the story may be different.
- Ice cold wind: Avalugg summons icy winds into a cone, dealing damage and freezing captured Pokemon in the area of effect.
- How to avoid: Players must run to the side of the cone or use the eject button to quickly get away!
- Quick rotation: Avalugg turns around and sucks in anything caught in the area of effect. Then it follows with a huge push attack that can push them away!
- How to avoid: Players must be careful when near Avalugg, as he can perform this move at any time. When they see him make this move though, they shouldn’t get close to Avalugg as he can pull them to the big finish! Players must try to stay away from the Boss during this move.
Drednaw
- Landslide: Drednaw summons more rocks from the sky, targeting all allied Pokémon in the area.
- How to avoid: Players must take note that this move has multiple instances, which track them as they move. Hence, players must always keep moving and away from the red marker.
- Body shot: Drednaw slams his huge body to the ground twice, creating two different hit zones for each.
- How to avoid: The area affected by the first slam is near Drednaw. They have to keep their distance. Additionally, the second slam has a larger hit zone. It is safe under Drednaw, players should approach the Pokémon at this stage and go under its belly.
- Water Pump: Drednaw loads water from the inside and lines up a powerful beam of water in a straight line.
- How to Avoid: This move hits in a straight line, so use the cooldown time to avoid the red zone.
Zapdos
- Shock wave: Zapdos electrifies his enemies, creating a zone of electricity around them. When electrified enemies get close to their allies, they can deal massive damage.
- Advice: Players must always avoid their teammates, whenever Zapdos makes this move!
- Brave Bird: Zapdos targets a specific area of the map, then dashes down to land anything trapped in the affected area.
- Tips: If targeted by this move, players should move to the outside of the circle! They usually have enough time to do. Therefore, they should just keep moving! The players must move away from the throwing area.
- Charge Beam: Zapdos quickly charges to deliver a quick Thunder Beam attack from his mouth. This doesn’t show any hitzone, so they should prepare for it.
- Tips: Although the move does not show any hitzone, it is quite easy to avoid it by always staying behind Zapdos
- Random Thunder Attacks: Zapdos will periodically release random thunder attacks from the skies, indicated by a red hitzone appearing out of nowhere.
- Advice: Players must keep moving as Zapdos will perform this move periodically over the course of your battle! So don’t sit still, keep moving.
Articuno
- Blizzard: Articuno first summons huge ice rocks, then unleashes a mighty Blizzard that covers the entire battlefield.
- Advice: This move has a huge charge time to give you time to run after the ice rocks. The direction of the blizzard is the same as Articuno is facing, so stand behind the rock face facing the oncoming wind. Act in accordance with.
- Radius of ice: Articuno charges up and sweeps a beam of ice from left to right. The hitzone is conical but only the radius has the hitbox.
- Advice: Avoid this move by going behind Articuno while it charges. It is the safest area.
- Powdery snow: Articuno charges quickly and scatters frozen dust in front of it.
- Advice: Always stay behind Articuno as its moves are forward facing! Also, you can avoid this move by going behind Articuno.

Regiga
- Slow start: Like the mainline Pokemon games, Regigigas appears to have a slow start in Boss Rush, starting very slowly and then ramping up its speed as the battle ensues.

This will be the best time to use whatever dash moves your Pokemon have to keep their distance from Regigigas. Otherwise, you can use an eject button or X Speed to withdraw.
- Crush handle: Regigigas grabs a Pokemon and continuously crushes it.

- Rock tomb: Regigigas summons boulders and crushes Pokémon. It then releases a blizzard that deals damage to all Pokémon that aren’t repairing.
- Advice: When you see the red circles under your Pokemon, stop attacking and avoid the falling rocks. This is the best time to use your Pokémon’s dash moves.
- Rock Tomb + Icy Wind: Regigigas summons boulders and crushes Pokémon. It then releases a blizzard that deals damage to all Pokémon that aren’t repairing.
- Advice: When tall rocks land, players should quickly move towards them. Then, they should watch where Regigigas is facing as that will be the direction the blizzard will go. They have to quickly hide behind those boulders as a result.
The best Pokémon to play with in Boss Rush mode
1. Bliss
A healing Pokemon should be a priority on the Boss Rush team. This type of battles is all about how quickly bosses are defeated and the more time you spend on the pitch, instead of being eliminated, the sooner you may finish the game.
