iOS 27 was received with a resounding “okay” in last week’s survey. Okay, so sentiment among iPhone users actually leans positive, but most voters couldn’t muster enough enthusiasm to choose the “love it” option.
To be fair, this release was focused on sanding down the rough edges of the major Liquid Glass redesign and finally delivering on the AI feature promises Apple made long ago. Remember all the Apple Intelligence demos during the iPhone 16 launch? Yes, Siri AI will launch later this year, likely alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models.

Even if you’re a fan of AI, there’s a waiting list for those who want to try out the new and improved Siri – even if you’re already running iOS 27 beta – so this version’s core feature isn’t ready to debut. This leaves only a “maintenance” release, which is hard to get excited about.
However, “love it” votes outnumber “hate it” votes 2 to 1, so some people like the new version. Even if it’s something small like the ability to set the volume of alarms and ringtones separately or to open Control Center from an external display.
